Too Too early to give up on him. His arm is not injured, his mechanics are probably off from his legs being messed up. That is what the TV guys are saying that the pitching coach believes. I think they might be right. There is no reason his arm would be dead if he did not injure it or overuse it.

It is a thing you know that when you injure one part of the body there is overcompensation from another and that can throw you off. Or maybe its just the curse of being married. Or being fat for too long.
If your chosen analogy for his performance (pun intended) is being married for too long or too fat for too long, that’s great cause to “give up” on him. And it isn’t “giving up”. It’s moving on from someone who can’t do the job. He can have it when he proves he can — that’s just a matter of velocity.
Closer is the most psyche dependent position there is. You dont want to fuck with his mojo by demoting him for Josh fucking Fields. If we trade for a legit closer then yeah. Logie Bear saved us. Jansen is a big boy (too big). It’s pretty simple for Dave: “you cant cut it right now”. His psyche has always been weak, he’s repeatedly let the team down in huge situations. He blew the fucking World Series.
