http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/...o-russell-could-soon-become-expendable-013117 Sucks, but true, sorta touched on it already. Fultz reminds me of a younger Baron Davis, not quite as athletic or as strong, but similar styles of play/pace/flair. Athletic, but under control, and still a lot of potential to add to it. Lonzo Ball would be an excellent pick as well. DLo will be productive somewhere, IMO, but maybe not LAL ( for long, at least) the way it's shaping up
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...s-angeles-lakers-adviser-co-owner-jeanie-buss Magic Johnson will return to the Los Angeles Lakers as an adviser to co-owner and president Jeanie Buss as she evaluates the direction of the franchise. "We are thrilled and honored to add Magic's expertise and abilities, and I look forward to working alongside him," Buss said in a statement released by the team. Johnson has held titles with the Lakers in the past, including honorary vice president, which he resigned from in June. He has also previously owned shares in the team, which he sold to Dr. Patrick Soon Shiong in 2011. The Lakers described the role Johnson will play broadly as "advising ownership on all business and basketball matters, collaborating with coaches, evaluating and mentoring players, assessing future franchise needs and helping ownership to determine the best path for growth and success." Been mentoring D'angelo since last year, so he's been moving back into the fam slowly but surely.
Still holding Zu back a bit Only 11 minutes last night, 0 fouls Ingram probably hitting the rookie wall, shit, maybe almost 2 weeks ago
Yeah, that's the thing that's really holding him back. He needs a summer in the gym taking 10,000 threes a day.
Probably less to do w/confidence and more to do w/just hitting the wall and being tired after 50 somethin games..that's the problem w/these kinds of rebuilds, the young players are still just trying to find out how to make it through 82 games. Too much he can learn by fighting through the rookie wall w/the big boys, IMO. He needs more run at PG as well, maybe they'll focus in on that part of his game..running the offense, being a playmaker and defending...
Not entirely true. His numbers from the outside on the year/as a whole aren't impressive, but there was a month long stretch where he shot around 35% from the 3pt line. While that doesn't really qualify as shooting well, it's respectable and was a major step up from the 28% he's doing on the year.
WE HAVE to get a pick 1-3 in the draft this year. I don't want to deal with sending our pick to Philly this year and then Orlando next year. Also I really think Josh Jackson would look good in purple and gold.
i'm w you but unless we dump Buss jr and get West back in the fold i fear its going to be more of the same
http://www.nbadraft.net/ <-- They have LAL taking him 3rd 6'8" Jackson and 6'9" Ingram on the wings..both need to get stronger, but pretty long defensively I'd say. Combine them w/Zubac's length and defensive potential and maybe the pieces would be there to make up for DLo's/Randle's lackluster defense?
