LeThreeNFive fan acc@BigBallerSZN When NBA twitter is talking about last years finals and I jump in talking about the lakers sl chip
Trying to get this straight... They/you admire an emulation of Trump?? And then that is the clip choosen? about vain peacock much? blowhard Lavar would have to brush up his game substantially to compete with blowhard brotha Trump. no contest
Eric PincusVerified account@EricPincus Magic said Lakers had 5 teams calling about Russell, I asked if that was a hard decision, moving on from D'Lo... Answer was basically "no"
Oooh shit Magic/Pelinka meeting with Derrick Rose today Would be Zo's backup and more than likely LAL's 6th man Ramona ShelburneVerified account@ramonashelburne Obviously Lakers feel they have a shot at Rose b/c they can offer more playing time in a better environment after his tumultuous year in NY Rose also in serious negotiations with the Cavs today Adrian WojnarowskiVerified account@wojespn Cavaliers have been aware of pending Rose meeting with Lakers, sources say. Lakers want to make a case over Cavs. How hard can it be to make that case? Cavs are falling apart from the FO on down and LeBron is probably leaving Cleveland, don't wanna be there for that season-long drama. LAL offering Rose more playing time..Clarkson is in trouble
Yeah saw this too kind of shocked me that we're interested. If it's a 1 year deal then Cleveland obviously will be a better fit for Rose.
Cleveland only makes more sense than LAL if he wants a free ride to finals He's not a spot up/off the ball type of shooter, not a good shooter from distance in general, so he really doesn't fit in with CLE's style of play and they're obviously playing for more than LAL right now LeBron and Kyrie are obviously going to have the ball a lot, going to play a lot If Rose actually wants a chance to get on the floor and do his thing, then get back on the FA market next off-season with a better outlook, he should join LAL Now, I'm 60/40 on if I want Rose with LAL..he's not ideal, but he is better than Clarkson in most aspects
Only thing wrong with your analogy is that the Warriors are in the West. Rose to East nearly guarantees a finals appearance. Comes here it's basically the same situation he endured in NY with alot less talent of course. Everybody needs a back-up when you have Kyrie and Bron playing over 40 minutes a game in the playoffs.
Not wrong, it just doesn't really matter. Rose is talking over 1 year deals because he wants to produce and get back to the market..what do the Warriors have to do with that? LAL is not a NY situation, that's ridiculous That franchise is in ruins from top to bottom and LAL is on the way back up The Lakers currently have more talent on their roster than the Knicks had last year Knicks missed the playoffs in the east..for the 4th year in a row
He wants to win I assume. Already got paid. What else is there? My post clearly indicates we have more talent.
If he just wanted to win he'd sign a vet minimum deal with the Warriors to ride the bench and collect a ring. And if he joins the Cavs..he's not going to win. The Warriors are going to win.
Maybe the extra playoff dollars or playoff exposure could entice Rose to sign with CLE Still, he's not winning a title there and more than likely not fitting into their system, but yeah, the Cavs are making a bunch of moves that don't make sense this off-season, so in that way I suppose Rose would be right up their alley at this point For example, they've already signed Calderon..why are they even in on Rose? Again, Rose doesn't really fit with LAL either, but LAL isn't playing for a title this year, so they'd probably give him more room/freedom to really do his thing on a 1yr pact
I'm not sure Rose is a good fit for either team. We just signed KCP and does Kyrie slip into the SG role? Also, I thought Rose was a bit of a ball hog.
He is that for sure but I trust Magic to press upon him the importance passing the ball. I don't personally think we need him like you say. Kyrie and Bron could always use capable back-ups they play way too many minutes each game.
Also, interesting factor..would it be better for Rose's value going forward to back up a rookie in Zo, or back up an accomplished vet in Kyrie? Probably the latter Unless he could gain some value by being a mentor for Zo, which isn't a bad thing to have on the resume LeBron and Kyrie do play a lot of minutes, so maybe Rose could help CLE navigate the reg-season in that way, but then the playoffs would start and he'd more than likely see a decrease in minutes at that point Gonna be interesting to see what he chooses to do It has to be LeBron himself recruiting Rose because CLE's front office is unstable right now..they have no GM in title. Or at least CLE fans better hope it's LeBron recruiting Rose because I've heard that Gilbert has been heavily involved in day to day personnel stuff and that's no good Will Magic turn on the charm and get it done? Magic VS LeBron right now for Rose? Lol Could be
I would be concerned about his glass knees. You can't backup if you can't play. Don't wish ill will on the guy, but injuries just about destroyed his career.
