Cousins is too stupid to wear Lakers colors. Period. We've already tried using a mental midget with mighty shoulders and No there's no reason to do that again And Randle's upside is worthy of keeping close at hand A young fit fast Randle could be all kinds of goodness Clarkson is much aligned but still earns his keep as a 6th man
Don't want D Wade to take up too much starter's time for the young-uns. If he comes cheap and can take a secondary role, I'm good with it.
I'm sure the FO will consider the youngsters, but at the same time youngsters don't carry teams to championships, so the youngsters will likely have to rise to the championship standard and earn their keep. That said, I wouldn't expect Wade to come at a steep price or to dig into their minutes at an alarming rate. Wade would probably be LAL's Andre Iguodala, older guy that can impact both ends positively and have the occasional big game. Iguodala plays something like 24 minutes a night, nothing crazy
DWade doesn't do cheap and he certainly doesn't do secondary. Trust the kids with the mix we've got. DWade cannot arrive without wearing full gangsta douchebag attitude either.. bad news for the kids let them learn from Magic's smile.. it plays better
Yep you summed it up Iguadala plays hard and selfless. Always. Say that about Wade. Wade can absolutely play D.. when he gives a shit
That Boston logo..sworn enemy now, brodie Smh It really does set up for a potential LeBron/Kyrie LAL/Boston showdown in 2-3 years
Watched the first few mins and it sounded like Jemele took that time to talk about herself and say it is what Kyrie is thinking lol
Said it during summer league, broseph. I don't know if Zubac is ever going to play at the speed they want to play at now..especially when they add LeBron, George and possibly Russ as well. Bogut, at the very least, obviously has experience with Luke and that system, understands how to do a lot of the little things on both ends, great passer too. Obviously don't know if it's going to happen for sure, but I think the only way they can get rid of Clarkson or Deng is to attach Zubac to either one and have him serve as incentive to take those bums and their contracts on. I think I proposed Clarkson and Zubac for Wade during the Summer League, but Corey Brewer would probably have to be a part of that to make the money work. If I'm LAL I'm good with that trade..I hate to see Zu go, but it just seems like he's not going to fit for multiple reasons. Wade would come in handy. Kuzma has to play and that means he'll get some minutes at the 4 and take away from Nance there, so Nance is probably gonna play some backup 5 and so there you go. Obviously Wade and Bogut are older now, but they both still contribute enough on both ends. Guess we'll see if LAL moves on a Wade trade now..
Mike BresnahanVerified account@Mike_Bresnahan Andrew Bogut's contract is a one-year, partially guaranteed deal. He'll have to earn his spot on the Laker roster with a solid pre-season. So maybe Zu won't be moved?
Bogut's not a 82 game guy and he has had a few seasons where he's missed about 80-90% of the reg-season However, before this past season he had put together 3 or 4 seasons in a row of 65-70 reg season games with the Warriors He's probably good for that much, best case, not all that unlike Derrick Rose at this point
Deng clarkson randle zu for westbrook. Zo westbrook Westbrook ingram Pope ingram kuzma Lebron ingram nance Lopez bogut nance
LAL could sign some undrafted rook for 800K to play the cheap shot artist role Bogut turned down a backup role with the Celtics to join Luke/LAL, already a win for that reason alone
Heard Brook Lopez is having back problems and Bogut is insurance for the Old-Guy-Mentor-Center role. Also think Zubac is gonna get traded. Dude looked like crapola in the summer league. I think he's probably on the outs with the new administration.
Ramona ShelburneVerified account@ramonashelburne Bogut's deal with Lakers is partially guaranteed, but obviously they're planning on him being a big part of the team. LAL leaking some of the workouts and Kuzma looking pretty good as a ball handler in the screen/roll drills, hope it translates
Yeah I read that Lopez will miss a portion of the preseason. Zubac would probably be a better fit for a young team that doesn't have plans on signing 2 or 3 stars next year and playing at a fast pace. Go somewhere else and get all the touches he needs in order to develop. With Zo and Kuzma running and gunning in the summer league it just looked like the game and the pace was too fast for him. Maybe there was some individual adjusting going on as well since he's lost a good deal of weight, may be trying to find his balance. Wouldn't worry too much if I were some other team with interest in trading for him..a 17PER as a rook in real games must be respected. FO's done a hell of a job this off-season, an A+ job even with the fine for tampering. Them getting fined for tampering was similar to being fined for a touchdown celebration.
