    This week is an opportunity to create some separation, while playing the A's and Astros, missing Gray and Keuchel, SF plays in STL and Pittsburgh, facing Wacha tonight (though I suppose all of their starting pitchers are good) and will see Liriano and Cole over the weekend.

    If they want to, because of the off-days we could see Greinke & Kershaw against Houston.

    It's too bad we are not getting Gray..we have to beat the better guys, or get used to top shelf pitching if we are going anywhere in the post, should we make it. Can't always have rookies or guys on sub .500 teams to knock around.
    Either we can beat the best, or we go back to licking elimination balls again.
    AGAIN!!! You hear (or read me) me?? AGAIN!!!
    And we have to beat "the Legend" when we play the Giants, right? I'm sure he'll curse one of our guys out publically, and we will do nada about it.

    LA didn't seem like a Madden type of place. Instant high expectations, plus he seems more like a blue collar mid-western type.

    I dunno why, but we dumped on Scoccia, passed on Kennedy, haven't approached Hershiser, anyone else I'm missing.

    They just seem to go the other way.

    With all due respect...if Maddon is the blue collar type (like LaSorda and Alston were?), then what type is Donnie then? The farmer/tractor driving type? Or is the laid back thing that you mean?
    Torre was laid back, even though NY born, and we screwed the pooch with him, too.
    Like whoever it takes to beat the Cards and leave the Giants looking up at us- if we need a drunk Billy Martin type , then go get him. Or her.
    ..it's about fucking time.
