I've seen suggestions the Dodgers will bring up bullpen help today with the pen being abused the last two games. If they do, I wonder who gets the ticket out?

So... Grant Holmes learned how to throw his curveball (which is his best pitch) from YouTube... WTF!

My nephew told me he did the same thing! I feel like we could be seeing another dead ball era in the near future with how good these young pitchers are becoming.

The thing with the internet and YouTube is that there is so much information available now. Just reading Doug Thorburn at BP taught me so much about pitching mechanics. Then you have guys like Trevor Bauer (bad example but you get the point lol) who upload videos of their motion/mechanics basically everything in slow motion. I did the same thing for tennis. Never held a racket buy joined my junior year of HS. Watched videos on YouTube religiously then went to the park to practice. My senior year I went 31-5 as a singles player then nearly advanced to round 2 of CIF against a D1 kid. If you watch the right things you'll definitely learn a lot.

    Joc: 0/5 (5 for his last 42)

Schebler: 2/4, BB. He has really been a pleasant surprise, OBP up just slightly from the Cal league last year, Ks down 6%. Fairly similar power numbers 52 XBHs this year, down from 69 last year with about 80 fewer ABs.

Don't think there is enough said about this kid, Darnell Sweeney:

    http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=DH&sid=t498&t=p_pbp&pid=572182

The 23 year old 2B/SS is crushing it at AA with or Chattanooga affiliate.

His quad-slash and stats on the year:
    .296/.399/.468/.867 with 30 doubles, 3 triples, 11 HR and 43 RBI

He also has 11 SB, but has been caught stealing a whopping 14 times. He does K a lot, but I can live with it because he has a 10+% walk rate. He also makes a good amount of errors, but I think that is because he maybe learning a new position or ???

Excited to see what this kid can add to the team in a year or two. At worst he will be a good backup IF.

I've been saying how underrated Sweeney is for a while now, he can hit, he's a horrible SS, which is why he transitioned to playing 2B and OF, but I think he could be a major league utility guy, for sure, that will hit.
