All dude does is hit, 28 XBHs in 220 ABs, maybe he gets a look for LF next year.

Anyway, what I meant to post is JDL is pitching for OKC tonight, Brock Stewart tomorrow. Trevor Oaks goes for Tulsa tomorrow morning as well.

HOPEFULLY soon it will be that we have too many pitchers!!!

Update: Ryu went 3 gave up 2 runs, 1 earned MOST importantly 46 pitches. No reports yet on the aftermath. Chris Anderson recently demoted to A ball went 1 scoreless as a reliever where he belongs at least before we release him.

Splits say trouble with lefties and deep trouble on the road.
Hits righties and home field hard though.

JDL today just finished his 3 innings, allowing 2 hits 3ER's throwing 47 pitches 30 of them being strikes. Rob Segedin hit a 3-run bomb for his 9th.

What? Calhoun has a higher avg and OBP against LHP than RHP. The only difference is he K's at a higher % and his slugging is down. Slash v RHP .267/.325/.528 v LHP .293/.396/.439. Yeah his home road splits aren't fantastic, but he is still OPS'ing .834 on the road, including 3 HR in his last 5 games on the road. I mean, this kid can hit.

    I need Calhoun/Bellinger/Verdugo in the bigs by mid-May/start of June 2017, joining Corey/Joc/Trayce/Yuli G./Grandal/Barnes

    Obviously mixed it up.
But thats a worse thing for him if he projects to be a leftirs hitter who sucks against righties.
For the team it may be good as most platoon partners have trouble hitting lefties.
He can be our new Kike now that kike sucks.
If in the minors calhoun is hitting righties at just a .260 clip its not a good sign.

Where do you see sucking against righties?
His slugging is .528 vs RHP

Calhoun may be the closest to being ready with the stick, but his glove does lag behind. I think we are still looking at Sept call up for each of Bellinger and Calhoun at the earliest. Unless they move Calhoun up to AAA this year and he continues to rake.

He swings left handed so the team would likely not use him in a platoon role to only hit LHP. He has crushed RHP in the past (yes, still not as well as he does LHP) and has been rushed to AA where he is still producing. I honestly would not look at those numbers and worry. He got off to a slow start and has been on a tear for over 3 weeks now while still being only 21 and playing 73 MiLB games between Rookie ball and HiA before this season.

    What about Verdugo?
If he's not getting a September call until 2018 he may not even be a Dodger for long at all, that's Bryce Harper hunting season.
Might as well start making eyes at Verdugo/Gray or Verdugo/Archer swaps if he's that far away, maybe a year or so down the road

Hard to say what they will do with him. His position is just one where they have a glut of right now and the team could choose to wait it out with him(they could always make a deal, so who knows). He is a bit on the young side too, so the club could elect to give him the full year in AAA, start the next year in AAA and try to get another year of control. The only reason I see the other two coming up sooner is that they play positions that could potentially be a need in 2018.

I missed this earlier, but I was out and about all morning for work and what not. Saw something and can't remember who said it, but it was in regards to Montas and that the team is extremely impressed with him. This is the reason why he is being stretched out as a starter.

Wasn't me but I have been watching his line in OKC and yes he is being stretched out to start. 7 innings in 2 starts in AAA after 4 2/3 in AA which means he'll most likely will be back after the AS break. No reported set-backs unlike Ryu.
