Meh, being a bum is what got Dee traded in the 1st place, so the steroid point is secondary and more in the periphery of the real point - which you hit on before this - he's a bad player, period
He was a good kid, had his LA 15 minutes of fame with an all-star 1st half that thrilled, but the kid wilted mid season, the end..let that line go on his LAD headstone.
When LAD found a taker for him, I was the guy who made the Dee Appreciation thread, so of course I appreciated his speed and the fun side and yeah, I see the comp to all the Pierre arguments.
TBT, I thought you put this corny Dee show to rest with your previous post, everything was in order.
Makes perfect sense that Dee would roid up for a big score with FA on the brink back then, but that's not LAD's problem.

Brock coming out of nowhere was a good look for the system, same for Stripling
And then we know Cotton had a nice, brief run with the A's, so our mid/back guys may be hot given the tutelage, resources poured into them, and their performance as a group.
JDL's character is outstanding, has the make up, worked really hard on losing that weight.
JDL + Calhoun + maybe one of Brock/De Jong/Oaks, maybe..?

Blanton might be the best bet because he is could be had on a 1 year deal due to his age (36). Though Ziegler is 37 and looking at 2-3 years, but he only throws mid-80's.

bellinger and verdugo are almost ML ready and have huge upside so I'd be extremely reluctant to deal either
