Rich Hill and Josh Reddick are elite at what they do.
Few better right handed hitters in the MLB that can gun people down from the OF and cover a lot of ground.
Few better starting pitchers in FA than Rich Hill, forget about his age.
He strikes people out like crazy and is great with offspeed stuff.
After all his shoulder injuries he moved away from the harder stuff and is a different pitcher now.
As a reliever for a few years he was a great loogy and pitched sidearmed.
The guy has a ton of experience with different types of mechanics and pitches.
He is a smart dude who has a ton of heart, went to pitch in the independent leagues when the MLB no longer wanted him. Has done whatever he can do play ball and recover his health and pitching form.
At 36 he is pitching the best he has in all his career getting strikeouts and grounders while killing lefties and not killing his own arm throwing a lot of hard stuff. Thats pretty elite unless you are an ageist... are you an ageist darth? :D

All due respect unless we are in that room hard to assume any facts at all. In the end some of the prices were very high and some not so much. I couldn't do that job for damn sure.

The whole getting a star pitcher stuff was overblown anyway. The Dodger staff is the best in the NL.

Out of hitters, the best was probably Lucroy. Yaz has been hitting better and I'm happy with Reddick. Sounds like we can move Howie back to second and push Utley to the bench. I wish they would've made 1 more impactful move but whatever.

IMO I think they gave up too much for what they got which was not Sale or Archer or Miller or Chapman. Hey I could be very wrong.

The one star pitcher I wanted is Clayton Kershaw.
And for Clayton Kershaw to actually pitch like Clayton Kershaw in Oct/Nov, always a must add.

Where did you hear about moving Howie back to 2B?

We have a glut of power hitting OF's who cant hit for average and a glut of good hitting OF who cant hit for power.
Toles has been hitting and getting on base very nicely since coming up but now there will be very little PT for him unless Puig is benched or Joc are benched.

Without the trade of Yasiel, Toles is the odd man out. Dre is still here too. We're back to having too many OF'ers which isn't a great thing which is the FO's fault.

God, ESPN has such a hard on for the Gnats and hates the Dodgers with a passion.

Gave the Hill/Reddick trade a C+ for the Dodgers, and gave the Gnats B+ for both the Moore and Smith trades.

Gave Oakland a B+ for the assets they got from the Dodgers....which is probably right.

Could you imagine how far Puig's stock would fall such that the FO couldn't dump his ass to anyone for anything worth a damn. A front loading washer. A jackhammer. A steak knife set.

It's the rental thing which obviously can be remedied in time but it's not only ESPN, MLB network also shows too much bias for the types of show they should be.

Howie is pretty terrible at 2B defensively these days, I hope that isn't the plan.
Hopefully he stays right where he is.
Please don't add a competent AB in Reddick and subtract Utley from the order..I mean that shit defeats the purpose of actually lengthening the lineup.
If their plan is to play Puig in RF and keep him in the lineup, they get a failing grade from me.

He has to prove himself but I suspect all the league wide disdain is based upon the often reported attitude problem which HAS NOT been the case this year. It doesn't happen overnight. You could also put Braun in that category too remember.

Puig needs to be on the bench.
I can't see that scenario going over well in the clubhouse.
" Chase benched, Puig starts " Lol
Puig would be the next Rodney King

Kinda like the idea of Reddick leading off. Great on base percentage against righties

Reddick, Seager, Turner, Adrian, Howie, Grandal, Puig or Utley, Joc, pitcher

That's... A solid ass lineup. Utley starts if Howie can't play 2B

But you got Joc and Puig in the 7 and 8 hole? That's fantastic.

Against lefties, gotta hope Enrique and Trayce get healthy and good soon
