You've also become completely anti-Puig to a point that your posts have been borderline insufferable for months as every post of yours is about him and how much you hate him. You constantly cite small sample sizes when you look at other players, but conveniently ignore that since Puig came back from his last DL stint, he has actually been REALLY good .308/.390/.440. On the other hand, Utley has been really bad for over 2 months now. He still has his games, but that 97 OPS is inflated from a really great start to the year while Puig's 93 is from an awful stretch early. The best thing for this team is Puig to continue hitting and stay in RF and play Reddick in LF to get the horrendous play of Kendrick out of LF. Yes he made a couple nice catches the other night, but then totally flubbed two others that Reddick would have easily had. Their D now is going to be + at every position but 2B with Howie, where I would argue he's about average. He won't make the shiny play, but he'll make the plays he should. When he makes a mistake in LF, it is normally a big costly mistake. Moving him back to 2B and using Utley as a late game defensive sub would be the best thing for the team at this point.

We didn't make the huge splash that many were expecting but reddick and hill are fairly close. I really like reddick. Hill remains to be seen due to the fact he's a journeyman pitcher who is having a great season. If he can keep doing what he's been doing this could be the best move right up there with Texas. The wildcard is getting CK back. The lineup is improved and we still have some pretty good depth. Roberts has plenty of options on a daily basis.

If the Giants had to give that up for Moore imagine what they were asking for archer? I thought we were gonna get the "friends" discount. Oh well we still have the waiver wire trade deadline. Let's catch the SFaGs and win the division again.

I'm anti-Puig, absolutely, wish they would've gotten a trade done, seems like they tried like hell.
But I'm also not the only guy who gives him shit, we have an actual Trade Puig thread, dude, slide in there at any time.
I don't trust Puig to have good ABs in spots where they really them nor do I trust him against good pitching in general...and neither do the Dodgers, which is why they've ducked using him against Strasburg twice since he's come back.
Which is why just about everybody on this forum groans when Puig steps to the plate in a big spot.
I appreciate what he can do against marginal guys, but that's not what they're going to see in the post season, is it?
I cite the sample sizes of players I trust and Puig is atrocious in every high leverage/clutch stat there is, the only guy on the team who is.

Actually, to go small sample size on you for a guy that I actually trust...Utley's been at a .725 OPS since the Nats' series, which would make him about average since 4 series ago.

Howie has a plus grade in LF this year, over 350+ innings.

Howie's graded out worse this year than he did last year and he was bad last year.
Howie is absolutely better in LF than he is at 2B and the numbers back it up.

 

That Puig doesn't hit good pitching and that LAD predictably pulled Puig from the lineup twice when Strasburg was due to take the hill.
Good numbers game tho.
