Andrus is disgusting. I wouldn't take him at all.

 

Wonder what reaction there would have been if NedCo would have made this trade. My guess is that it would have been some outrage. This has to be a precursor to another trade involving SVS, Dre and CC, perhaps for a SS or catcher or pitching. I fully expect a trade in the next 3 weeks. Maybe this guy since Russ is now the catcher for the foreseeable future.

NerdCo makes it's first move with this minor leaguer, and the collective yawns go up like watching a hippo herd on Animal Planet.
But something is a-brewin' in NerdCotown, rest assured....because guys like me thought all we needed was a new GM and a new manager.So it can't be right. We still have Mattingly. Yup, we still have him. I would feel a lot better if it was Steinbrenner surrounding Torre with all the best players available, come hell or high water, and you just show up everyday and win. But it's not like that. That's not in line, is it?
Now we have everything new, and I wonder how far into the future all this "brightness" is? The 240 M rebuilding club. LOL.
Seems to me, an organization that Kemp, Kershaw, and Dee came up in and excelled at the ML level, amongst others, didn't need a complete overhaul. Seems to me we were just missing at the button pusher level and were short sighted at GM, with moves like Correia and Hernandez as stop gaps. Poor choices... and just recent examples. We did/do have some outstanding players developed in the LA system, it wasn't a total failure, IMO.
And if all we were is a 7th inning-on lights out Clayton against the Cards away from going further in the post, then we just got maybe...uh... further away than ever with the StL moves they just made.
Somebody somewhere is doing their homework, and coming up with the moves and FAs; it just isn't the LA Dodgers.

I like it a lot. Trade Ethier and $20-25M for Alexi. Two birds, one stone.

 

I'm so mad at Kershaw and the bullpen right now. Because I think even though it hurts to see the Hanley's and Kemp's if the world start to go...the front office is right. We can't justify a long term extension for a Hanley. If we can get young by selling high on Kemp you gotta consider it.

This team had 2 chances to win the World Series with this group. Now it's time to make the transition and smart moves. There was a time for Hanley. Im sure the Dodgers woukd love to have him. But not in 5 years. Hopefully the drop off isn't too steep when we let some talented players go.

 

I don't know if Ethier or Crawford would be in the swap for Alexei, but I don't care. I'm way down for Alexei, please get this done.

Makes me so, soooooo glad that we have a reasonable group of fans here. There are people in there throwing Joc, Arrub and Lee in a trade for Alexei, hahaha.... Someone actually is like I don't think I would trade Kemp for Alexei straight up. What a fucking joke. Both fan bases seem to be generally retarded, with the White Sox fans thinking Alexei is the second coming of Mickey Mantle.
