hearing news like this -- regardless of what team they root for -- sickens and depresses me and dodger fans are no better/worse than giant fans... like TB said, there are idiots everywhere just sad that a black eye like this -- and/or the stow incident -- result in people condemning an entire team's fan base
This shit sucks, fuck the fans from both sides that make th rivalry go beyond into stupid territory. I'd like for th Giants/dodgers to team up and do something to recognize this is idiotic. Feel bad for the family
IMO, people who does this aren't fans of the teams, they just think it's a gang they're apart of or some shit. But not fans
NL Cy Young: Clayton Kershaw, Dodgers By Jayson Stark | ESPN.com There's a lot of stuff in baseball I don't totally comprehend. But can somebody, anybody, please explain why Clayton Kershaw isn't universally celebrated as the official Best Pitcher in Baseball, in a Verlander-esque kind of way? Did you know he's about to become the fifth pitcher ever to lead his league in ERA three seasons in a row? The others: Greg Maddux, Roger Clemens, Sandy Koufax and Lefty Grove. Whoever they are. And that's not all. Did you know Kershaw is also about to become the seventh pitcher in history to lead his league in WHIP three seasons in a row? The others: Maddux, Koufax and Grove, plus Johan Santana, Carl Hubbell and Babe Adams. And did you know that if you'll look past Puig-mania, pool parties and other wacky Dodgers plot lines, you'll find that Kershaw is having a season that's so dominating, if you measure it by ERA (1.88), WHIP (0.92) and opponent average (.195), that, since the mound was lowered in 1969, only Pedro Martinez (in 2000) has ever matched or beaten those numbers? My NL Cy Young ballot: 1. Clayton Kershaw, 2. Jose Fernandez, 3. Adam Wainwright, 4. Matt Harvey, 5. Craig Kimbrel All this brilliance has been going on right before your eyes, ladies and gentlemen, courtesy of a fellow who is still only 25 years old, pitches for one of America's most storied franchises and has no reason not to be one of the most buzzed-about baseball players alive. So why is he so under-appreciated? I don't get it. But the good news is: This guy will get it -- another Cy Young trophy, I mean, barring one of the all-time miscarriages of baseball justice. __
I've noticed this in all post season games for most teams...the stadium is packed and then they have a random section that looks like it's sectioned off. Is that for additional press or what? 1988------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2009 Playoffs I noticed the Giants had something similar in the WS.
Giants Extend Hunter Pence The Giants have signed Hunter Pence to a five-year extension, reports John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle (on Twitter). San Francisco has guaranteed $90MM and granted a no-trade clause to keep its right fielder from reaching free agency, CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman reports, confirming his earlier tweet. Pence is represented by the Beverly Hills Sports Council. ------ All I can say is, thank god the Dodgers won't be bidding on any of the top 3 or 4 Outfielders this winter.
Magic johnson said he'd wear a speedo and get in a pool if the dodgers win the World Series, but wait here's the kicker......he can't swim!
Oh yeah and this violence shit is getting out of control. I sometimes think twice about going to a game with my son/family because of the shit that goes on before, during and after a game. Then you see two idiots after the cowboys/chargers game blasting dudes with bottles over their heads while they aren't looking after all this other stuff has happened. Sad to think you can't go to a game without looking over your shoulder or just to have a good time.
just filtering through things and saw this post (on page 9) fordie saying something that went relatively unnoticed at the time, something we all believed which makes it all that more unbelievable in retrospect amazing run
