I dont buy that he is a cabbage head.
I think all of that is racist shit.
Nobody says anything like that of Logan Forsythe. No matter how many times he proves that he can't figure shit out.
For years folks would say the same things about Puig. He is dumb and he sucks.
Now he does not suck and all they can say is that he's dumb.
Yet any white guy that sucks just sucks. He doesn't get the additional cabbage head moniker that is reserved for Puig.
Not even the 3B coach gets called a cabbage head.
Its not racism, it doesn't have to be. It could be simple dislike.
There are folks who right off the bat rubs you the wrong way.
For many people that is just how they feel when they come into contact with blacks or latinos.
Maybe its not the color, maybe its not the personality, maybe its not the music, maybe its not the flavor, maybe its not the rhythm, mayne its all of it and everything else non white people have that whites dont. They used to call it soul but white people got wise to the fact that they were being called demons.
But it is hard to find a wight guy with soul.
Maybe David Soul?

But nobody calls Forsythe dumb, on the contrary he was dubbed a cerebral player defensively with a good eye to get on base against most pitchers.
Puig has had every word for dumb you can think of thrown at him for any baseball mistake. Others players just suck, but Puig sucks and its because he's dumb. It cant be because he's fat, because he's undisciplined, because he's out of shape, because he's lazy, because he's violent with teammates or treats them like crap. He is an affable guy who tries his hardest but has had natural barriers that he has persevered through to become a consistent player in his niche of RF with great defense, glove, and a cannon arm that can be a B+ to A- type hitter vs 70% of pitchers in the league. That is a very rich niche.

Magic Johnson frequently was at the top of the leaderboards for turnovers even though he was the best assist man in the game.
Kobe Bryant is the leader in most missed buzzer beaters.
The more you are great at something the more you will fail at them.
That is what people call Puigs bonehead plays.

i thought it was weird that there was all this extra negativity upon puig whenever he made a mistake
imo Puig is a genius at baseball
i said in the previous post somewhere in the middle that it was not racist.
i know that i started the post saying it was racist but that was to set the tone of the conversation
with puig there is just shit that people dont like about him that has nothing to do with baseball but how he plays baseball
geniuses always get criticized by those that don't like or dont get whats so special about the guy.
The past two years combined on the field and vs righties he has played at an elite level. Vs lefties he can be hit or miss but has been able to hit him before his last hitting adjustment. He might figure out how to hit them again and come full circle to the player we saw when he arrived on the scene.

 

huh, according to JP Morosi, Raisel Iglesias has been made available. That should be priority number 1 for the Dodgers. Go for Raisel, and if you can’t land him you’re in a good spot in the conversations to at least land Hughes or Hernandez from them and then you can turn around to trade for a 2nd lesser reliever like Conley, Pressly, or Duke

 

Yeap if Raisel really is available, I bet the Astros make a big push for him.

Phillies and Brewers should be all in on that but they’re prospect hugging a bit. Hoping the Astros look elsewhere but doubt it, Raisel is consistently really good
