Are Roberts and the FO (a) deaf, (b) dumb, (c) blind, or (d) cheap?

Silly me, the answer is e.

so Tyler Skaggs was juiced on fetanayl, oxy and alcohol
so much for the hero treatment
don't wish bad on him or his family but I'm guessing those patches and tributes are over
    just another drug addict

I won't speak I'll of the dead, but the fact that his family has now hired a lawyer to sue the Angels over this is just over the top. They are claiming someone in the Angels organization provided him with the drugs and that the idea of Skaggs being a drug addict is way beyond the Skaggs that they knew.

Isn't that what they always say? That's not the person that they knew.

You are a ball player that spends a good chunk of the year away from home. How well did you really know the guy? And, they will probably try to blame some low level locker room guy that makes less than 1/100th of the salary Skaggs made that was probably asked by Skaggs to get "a few things for me.....and there's a $100 for you if you do it".

This is a widow pension lawsuit.

A caller should ask him if he would put his job on the line on that.

I'll just speak for myself when it comes to narcotics in particular
they're typically fucking great and that's why a 27 year old dying is sort of suspect
I travel in worlds where this shit is available
I've tried oxy and found it to be one of the most incredible feeling I've ever felt, its pill heroin after all
that's so frightening I know not to cultivate a friendship or keep contact with people that have them
if you offered me one and I wasn't doing anything would I take it?
not a question if it looked right
but these guys can have that anytime they want it all day everyday
mixing two powerful opioid narcotics w alcohol?
    nice to know you

    great
let's continue to encourage/perpetuate zero personal responsibility
like that bkitch who spilled hot coffee in her lap and then sued mcdonalds... and won
or beavis and butthead creator mike judge who had to remove and mention of "fire" because some kids torched their home and, of course, mom blamed the cartoon for their behavior
or the office guy who got reprimanded for asking a female co-worker where she got her dress because he wanted to get one for his wife
corporate america not only allows this asinine behavior, they encourage and support it
i worked for an insurance company in the early 2000's and they made it mandatory for every employee to attend their sensitivity training class... but get this, people of "color" weren't required to attend
    amazing
difficult to blame people for entitlement when you cater to their demands
and by doing so the real problem never gets addressed/resolved
you can get rid of all the guns, drugs and whatever other potential hazards the lemmings deem harmful... but the problem (the lemmings) will remain
of course that kind of thinking won't get you any minority votes

    this exactly
used to go to 30+ games a year back when i was making <$25k a year
o'malley was a tight mofo, but he also catered to the blue collar fan... until he no longer could
if walter & co had signed a harper or kimbrel the exorbitant prices would be more understandable
    but with aj fucken pollock?
    get the fuck outa here

A man is suing Popeye's for $5,000, saying that his car was damaged while he tried to get a chicken sandwich and that his friends laughed at him
    by Susanna Heller | Insider — 30 August 2019

A man from East Ridge, Tennessee, has filed a civil summons in Hamilton County General Sessions Court after having a less-than-savory Popeyes' experience. Craig Barr is suing the fast-food chain for $5,000 in damages, WTVC, a local news channel, reported on Thursday.

Barr said a man who said he was a Popeyes' employee posted a "black list" ad on Craigslist offering to sell a chicken sandwich for $24 after the store sold out. The man took his money but never delivered the sandwich, Barr said.

Barr also said that his car sustained $1,500 worth of damage to the tires and rims on his way to Popeyes' locations to get a sandwich and that his friends made fun of him.

It’s actually sad to see the family statement read out as “Tyler was a good kid who would never get involved in something like this.” It’s either posturing for a lawsuit or denial to the nth degree. It sucks, but the is on Tyler, 100%.

That said, I don’t know that I wouldn’t do the same if I were the family. Whoever hooked him up was breaking the law, and if it was an employee of a company worth a billion dollars? Like it or not there’s a case. If multiple people knew about it and no one sounded the alarm, shit could get ugly quick. One good thing that could come about - if this is widespread in professional baseball, this lawsuit could lead to MLB taking more steps to educate players and police employees.

But this family will and should get lashed out at for trying to tell us their boy was too good for this - because it can and does happen to all walks of life, and he wasn’t “too good”. Again, it sucks, and I feel for the kid, but Tyler fucked up just a little too much.

There are countless tales of young people getting hooked on opioids after getting prescribed the drugs as part of rehabbing from an injury. Many of those are athletes some as young as freshman in high school. In fact there was a Real Sports episode about that not long ago.

I have no doubt that is probably how it started with Skaggs.

The ironic thing is that once they are hooked and can no longer get prescription opioids, they switch to heroin because it's cheaper.

Skaggs had the money to stay with illicit fentanyl and oxy.

On another note, US Authorities just seized enough fentenyl to kill 14 million people. This stuff was coming in from China

    someone who likes pickles?
I had no idea it was such a sensation but apparently every store in the US sold out of these things and they won't have more until the end of the year or something
