    Wonder if this is a coincidence now that I’m thinking about it. Each of the 3 teams(Dodgers, Yankees, Brewers)said to have the most interest and are closest to acquiring Kluber all have short term needs at 2B as well. Guessing Kipnis is going in a Kluber deal.

    Kluber without a doubt. Realmuto is good but is a poor framer which reduces his value a bit.

    I get that it’s sort of a correlation is not causation situation, but there are no good catchers under 25. It usually takes multiple years for a catcher to hit in the major leagues unless they’re of the Buster Posey pedigree. Ruiz is 20. I expect him to be absolute shit at the plate his first couple seasons, and his defense could still make him valuable, but I think people expect him to come up and be a 4 win catcher in the first year and that literally never happens with catchers.

    I’m torn cuz I’d rather have Realmuto over 162 games but Kluber in October

    I would rather trade them for good players and take it year by year with stop gap catchers than keep them and hope that at best they eventually don't suck at hitting.

    Realmuto, no doubt about it for me. If they could get Realmuto for the same price as Kluber, that would likely mean that they underpaid for J.T. One is entering their prime while the other is exiting. Don't get me wrong I would love either one, but if the price is the same, give me J.T.
