I respect the pitcher. I hate that he's a gnat. If he were to become a Dodger, I'd be happy.

Damn it, Ted Gillmore is leaving SC and heading to the Raiders. Now we need a linebackers coach, a WR coach and a secondary/DB ccoach. I'm sure we'll find some good guys for all three positions, but fuck that is a lot to fill-up.

    Relax the Dude will abide.

Lots of good coaches getting the axe in the NFL right now.

the hoodie thing has nothing to do with what you are talking about for this current generation
the hoodie, straight or slim cut jeans, vans or chucks... thats pretty much the uniform
and the hoodie has a cultural significance for this generation similar to that of levis jeans for the generation that grew up in the 50s
more specifically it harkens back to a style popularized by young soldiers coming back from the crusades all over christian europe
it was then adopted by the local forest militias who used guerrilla tactics to help bring about economic revolutions
the poor had paid the hard burden of the crusades while the rich lived like the nobility they were or aspired to be
    hence robin hood
steal from the rich and give to the poor
with his band of merry militia men
    and their jesuit priest

Are you fucking kidding with this? Yeah, Lincecum is a Knight Templar.
It just couldn't be he's pushing a fad that younger kids are into and he should have left it a few years ago?
Holy shit...economic revolutions, forest militias, it "harkens" back to a style...does he have chain mail on underneath?
I've had hooded sweatshirts , which is what they are, for 40 years...big deal. INow they are "hoodies" I'm talking about wearing them up over the head indoors, in case that got by you. Or did he just come back from the Holyland?

i have v necks but not the super low cut gay looking ones. on a cold night i'll wear a scarf, but inside a jacket and never wrapped around twice or with a vneck. i think that is really gay. the whole slim fit jeans thing is pretty sassy wouldn't you say?

i love the word hearken but never get to use it
it sounds silly i guess if used in regular speech
but when talking about knights templar and robin hood?
its called extra 'chocolate en el mole pa'que sepa mas bueno'

anyway... look around you, a lot of those hoodie wearing youth are actually college educated citizens with degrees but no jobs
young warriors must have battle if not they turn to banditry = young students must have careers if not they turn to ?
    young warriors

the hoodie, sneakers and jeans is going to be the look of the american 'insurgent' of a few years from now
just like middle eastern insurgent looks like a random arab with a keffiyeh wrapped around their neck or head
the hoodie will be demonized just like the keffiyeh scarf was demonized and soon the hoodie/keffiyeh combo will be doubly demonized
get used to it man, you gonna see a lot of these mid to late twenties kids keep growing and growing and growing
these kids are pulling away from society as this one has been proven bankrupt
lets shit on them, because its their fault for fucking things up all these years?
i would think its the fault of these kids parents and the parents before them
the ones who say they lived in the golden age
    when america was great
that america they wish they could go back to
the one they got to greedy with and spent a couple generations sucking dry
the one they left fucked up?
did they have hoodies back then?

now im not saying anything about lincecum or any kids you may know
i dont know lincecum nor those kids
but the hoodie is more than just a clothing trend
its like saying 501 jeans are just a clothing trend
there is a term for this

i cant give the kids too much of a hard time for the jeans... i think you and I came from a similar time of thin jeans
i spent most of my time in the weight room doing squats and lunges, i had huge legs... but i still wore the thinnest jeans i could find
i went through this weird phase in the early 90's where i looked like slash on vacation in early 80's miami
    it was strange
its when i started to branch out of just being a metal guy because i couldnt keep up with the skinny jeans and my huge legs while everyone else was wearing baggy pants
i never wore baggy pants in my life
i was made fun of for years but i could not bring myself to do it
i found a happy medium in straight cut jeans/boot cut jeans

now i wear wranglers half the time... i have no idea how that happened but i own 4 wrangler jeans
and they are pretty much my main rotation with my last 501 which i wear as much as possible since its the best fit
