Listening to every pitch of Sandy's perfect game on the old transistor. Maybe the highlight of my time as a Dodger fan. The best pitcher they ever had at his best and the best PBP guy ever at the top of his game. Gives me chills thinking about it.
i have vague memories of sandy but i was really young so but i remember listening to drysdale's scoreless inning streak i remember the last out... "a high pop up he's 80 feet from the record parker's... got it!" chills for me as well
Remember how the streak was extended because the home plate umpire said Giant catcher Dick Dietz didn't try to avoid a pitch that hit him? Ballsy call that is rarely made.
i remember that well deitz was furious not sure but i think the ump was either wendlestet or dutch rennert vinny "(wendelstet/rennert) saying 'it hit the bat' " also regarding dd his call of gibby's was the best of all i remember initally thinking it was going to be an out franklin stubbs crushing one a couple innings earlier that i thought was gone, but died on the track the call sounds like dd thought gibby's ball was going to do the same and then the genuine excitement in his voice as he realizes it's gone
Draft strategy has to start shifting to the offensive side. Last 2 drafts used the teams 1st pick on big defensemen. Seems like every draft we buy big guys not fast elusive scorers I get it though there have to be guys available but come on now like you say score some goals!!! I'm calling for Daryl to go.

Had to happen. Those two helped bring the Kings two more Cup wins then I ever thought I'd see in my lifetime, but there's been too much of a falloff since '14. That said, thank you Darryl and Dean.
