Joc is a much better hitter then Puig this year, and did improve. Pederson has been hitting damn good this year, went 2-4 with 2 doubles last night, and he still gets hated on
To add, Joc's strikeout rate has gone down, his offense has gone up (batting average, slugging, and advanced metrics). His doubles have increased. He hasn't had an extended shit period like last year so far. He's been good and arguably a better offensive threat then Adrian
we arent hating on joc. I like joc. We just comparing his situation to puig in a certaing light. Nobody wants Joc traded demoted or otherwise removed from the team much less the lineup.
Well, there was a comparison that Joc was the same as Puig as far as development and that he was an auto-out. Puig is hovering around a .700 OPS, and has multiple reports from multiple groups of management that he doesn't work on things on getting better, he makes the whole team wait for him, and doesn't do what is necessary to stay healthy. So, there is a big difference between the two and it's not really a comparable situation other then they are both pretty young.
