    i think in the inevitable turmoil of a buyout it just could be

    Any company that goes up as significantly as Twitter did from one guy investing in the company is a shit company. Regardless of who the one guy is.

    If Musk buys the company for $54.2/share, you get cashed out at $54.2/share. If Musk doesn't buy the company then proceeds to dump his stock, the stock goes in the toilet IMO.

    Cannot and will not tell anybody what to do, only stating I would not touch Twitter.

    i never go in more than 1k on anything for the most part so its moderate risk/reward
    this one is very different in that you're almost betting on the man and whether you believe he'll pull it off
    if the sale starts to go through the stock is going to go down like it always does on a buy out or at least it should
    that's where i'd likely toss down a few shekels

    I say that about everything Elon touches, but look at what Tesla has done.
    And SpaceX is valued over $100B without a single shred of a sustainable business model in anything they've ever done.

    I keep waiting for Adam Smith's invisible hand to make a fist...

    Did you ever see any of your nerdy students hauling around cards of a poke like game called magic the gathering?
    Ask them if they believe Musk operates in any way that is weird.

    In the past you needed a good pker face to excel in business.
    But now the game has changed and you need to be experienced in the colors of magic and the value of the numbers and how they all combine perfectly in sync with the rules... except then you also need to know how to stack keywords so that you can break every rule known to magic without falling into the traps of wizardry.
    Keywords stacking is how you beat nerds at their own game.
    And that is what im into.

    thing is he has them in checkmate as far as i can figure out
    if they don't sell it will piss off the shareholders and probably end in lawsuits
    plus if he can't do what he intends and sell off his shares the stock tanks in the near term
    good fun and not a moment too soon
