Absolutely agree with you on this.
It is too bad he is so petulant (there's that word again!) and adolescent...I guess in America now, it's a choice between the instantaneous, unfiltered, mad tweeter...or the cautious, composed, self- serving lies of a fifty year old we are asked to believe almost daily.

Trump is the true Pope of this world.
    And NYC is the vatican.

Popes used to wield immense power. So much so that their opinion on a matter was like a legal judgement that everyone tried to conform to.
They were called Papal Bulls. Aka Bulletins. Not much different than a blog a forum or twitter.

Trump says boeings costs for AF1 is too high...
Boeing answers by saying they will do everything to provide value for the american people.

Toyota says they will open new plant in mexico. Trump gives his opinion and now toyota is appeasing papasan trump by making new plant in US.

Same with ford harrier GM etc...

Macys did not heed the bulletin.
So its laying off 10000 jobs and closing hundreds of stores after losing record amounts of cash.

its amazing how many people just want to give him zero credit for anything
i met an old friend last night and while my true motive was hard money we slipped into the election before parting
his take was big deal its a few hundred jobs and car prices are going to go up...
i just shook my head and laughed and said anything is better than 95 million out of work and its a start
he responded that he thinks the man is truly stupid and that scares him
we both agreed neither one was a good choice and that there really isn't anyone in the political arena we like
and that maybe we should just hope for the best and give the man a chance
it sure seems to me like there have been some positive moments already
    12 more days

    Yeah but fuck the pope.
When one man has so much power that his twitter accouny causes so much fear we got a problem.
    Papal bulls are bad news.
Ruling by edict/decree has no checks and balances.
Its like what obama was doing via executive orders.
With pope trump its even worse as he doesnt need any governmental apparatus. Just his twitter account.
Wait till he has the power to call press conferences that the media has to cover live during prime time.
The masses and big business are debasing themselves kowtowing already. And he aint even in the white palace yet.

if it means less of my tax dollars being wasted i'm down
and the current pope is as political as any pope ever
i still say maybe we should give him a couple of days in office before skewering him
its like everyone is so certain he is going to fuck up
i remember when BO was elected a lot of us gasp but i don't recall any of this "he's not my president" bullshit
people gave him a chance and hoped for the best for the country

I never liked/trusted him. He was a no experience hack that rode into power on a cult of personality.
He scared the shit out of me from day one.

I'll give BHS credit though, he turned out waaaayyyy better than I ever thought he'd be.

And it was easily racially motivated.
Trump wont be that great for you. Just like obama wasnt great for black people or progressives.

The protectionist measures (tariffs, threatening companies with tax penalties, etc) do more harm than good, since they make stuff more expensive. And the few jobs that are saved bring much less value than the cost--which is distrubuted across the whole economy.

The country would literally be better off if the government let the jobs go, didn't put tarrrifs/taxes on the merchandise and gave everyone that lost their job a few hundred thousand dollars.

Some of it was racially motivated, but much of it wasn't.
It's a lazy argument to call it all racially motivated.

it made the teflon man comment obsolete
and once is discovered he could get away w his executive orders the megalomania hit new heights

Not only lazy...but dangerous in the sense that it is so-o-o fucking overused now, that people don't give a shit anymore at all if they are called that.
It has created a callous on those who would have previously recoiled at being called that. It has less and less gravitas the more frequently people are knee jerk labelled with that so tired retort.

I never heard a non racist version of Obama 'he's not my president'.
While it may be lazy to say that what i head was racially motivated, its just as lazy to just say it wasnt and not say anything else after that.
If you heard people say that 'he's not my president' and they didnt say so due to racist undertones then what was their reason?
I remember a ton of monkey, nigger, and other racist type comments directed at Obama by all sorts of people when they said 'he's not preisdent'.
    Not just white, mexicans too.
I also never said it was 'all' racially motivated.
That i heard a ton (obvious superfluity for effect) and that it was easily racist. As in I could tell due to their other remarks that they did not consider him their president because he was the nigger president or some stupid shit like that.
BTW, even if i would have said "all" it still is an obvious use of language that does not actually mean every single person. Just a generalization similar to saying a ton.

    Its not lazy.
It is the truth though. If you didnt run into a lot of racist people who disliked Obama purely for his race then maybe you live in a place where people dont talk about that stuff.
Maybe i know more racists than you.

Not my president: Health care law-that was rammed thru without a single vote from the other party.
Not my president:. Drone strikes galore and 8 years of constant war.
Not my president: Creeping executive power
Not my president: Trans Pacific Partnership
Not my president:. Iran nuke deal.
    That's just the stuff now.

See the cult of personality/empty promises thing for why not my president before we knew what he really was.
