Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. This team is losing way too many games (still) due to playing with their heads up their asses.

what makes it worse for me is knowing that SF doesn't make the stupid mistakes we do and gets way more out of less. by far the best winning pct in bb and on a roll. not that hard to understand why its happening. straight up better coaching.

Obviously this is worst case scenario, but we are in possession of that 2nd wild card spot.

I'm not content, I said worst case scenario, I still think we're going to win the division. I don't know why you always seem to be pissed off.

hard not to be pissed off... it's not like these guys are suffering from any serious injuries or anything. i have been pissed off for the most part, yes, and that's because this team is allergic to winning streaks over 3. hard to gain any momentum when you always go win 3, lose 1, win 2, lose 2, win 1, lose 1, etc...

Baseball season is a thing in which patience is needed, hard to have, especially when you're struggling, I know, but it's what you need in the longrun.

I guess the only reason I have patience with this team is I know the potential is endless and it will eventually play itself out over the course of a long season, at least that is my thinking.

Honestly why is it so hard to understand that sacrifice bunting is statistically way less favorable to a team than letting the hitter at least attempt to put the ball in play without giving away a free out. This mind boggles me how with so many resources there are still managers who think it's smart to bunt or issue intentional walks. Math isn't hard when someone else does it for you. Listening shouldn't be either when people smarter than you are giving you the answers. I hate Donnie why the fuck can't someone who embraces statistics manage? Seriously

What annoys me is that if you're dead set on bunting, as Don is, let Dee steal, bunt him over to third, and you have a man on third with one out, and sac fly (Puig's next PA), ties the fucking game.

I want to like you, Donnie, I really do, but for the love of fuck, get your shit together. You would hope that after making so many mistakes with his bunting strategy, he'd learn from them, but nope, still making stupid mistakes. Not thinking ahead is gonna fuck you, Don.

winning series are great when you're up 5.5 games, not down 5.5
happy for you that you're content with an underachieving, overpaid team
but spare the rest of us your ignorant, short-sighted rhetoric

If there are two more disappointing players on the team in recent history more than Hanley and Kemp, I don't know who they are.
I know there was Broxton, who at historic moments sucked, but at least he came through once in a while (like he does now against the Dodgers).
But from Kemp's nowhere near the ball swing, and seemingly warning track power now, to Hanley's miniscule contribution offensively to his idiot brain and lead glove, it's quite a duo. I used to get excited when it was their turn AB, but now, I just look for an out from Ramirez and a KKK from Kemp. hardly more. I wouldn't blame them if they let Hanram walk; paying players huge bucks seems to ensure a decreased performance right away.
And although I'll get killed for this, and maybe deservedly so, IMO, Kershaw hasn't really been the same since the playoffs last year. He gives up more hard hit balls and HR, and not only by top shelf players.
Maybe I'm wrong, but he just doesn't look the same as he did. His bar was so high, it's probably unfair to write that, but it's what I see.
rthe Kemp/manram situation is just horrible, and something's got to give.
