I would update the thread every game with the record, but I can't edit titles of threads. I'm a mod who's all talk with no power. The power is with the people
:woot: I can't wait to play them. I'm tired of their fans saying we haven't beaten anyone with a good record. I want to destroy them. Not just beat them. Destroy them. I'm tired of their fucking snobby fans who relished while our ownership was a fucking mess. We need to remind them we're the Los Angeles Fucking Dodgers.
"By the end of the series against the Dodgers, Tracy found an answer. In the series finale Wednesday, Tracy ordered his pitcher to intentionally walk Kemp — twice. Mattingly is considering measures to safeguard against that. The intentional walks Wednesday were Kemp's first of the season, and they came when the left-handed-hitting Ethier was batting fifth instead of fourth because the Dodgers were facing a left-handed starting pitcher in Drew Pomeranz. Mattingly thinks opponents had previously avoided intentionally walking Kemp because Ethier was hitting behind him. Ethier, whose 27 runs batted in led the majors entering play Thursday, may now start hitting cleanup every day, regardless of who is on the mound. Ethier is batting .294 against left-handers this season, a considerable improvement from past years. Of Kemp, Mattingly said, "You can't pitch to him, but it's hard not to pitch to him when Andre's sitting there driving in more runs."
(For you lazy ppl, basically says Mattingly believes he needs to hit Ethier cleanup everyday regardless of lefty because of the intentional walks to kemp) A lot of people wanted that, and it's a good call. Hopefully Mattingly goes through with it.
especially the way Dre is hitting lefties again. no brainer and when a team is full on with their righty closer and they want to walk kemp, i want dre behind him
He should have known that at the start of the season so glad he finally realized it because he had been keeping Dre 5th against lefties. We will see what happens from now on.
good for Donnie IMO he'll develop into a very good manager not too pigheaded to admit/acknowledge mistakes let's not forget he's still essentially learning a lot on the job
