and this and the golf analogy gebbeth used is a good one the last thing you want to do is try and make changes on the course that's what the range is for you want to work on whatever swing problems you have so that it becomes second nature on the course the worst thing you can do is be thinking about swing mechanics on the course same with baseball and to me joc looks like he's thinking about his swing (mechanics) rather than trying to hit/react like that line in bull durham, "outta your head meat"
"Okay... see the ball, shorten up my swing, be aggressive, go with the pitch, don't be too aggressive, drive the ball back up the middle, be patient, hit the ball the other way, don't be too patient..."
thats always how it is when a player takes on a new hitting approach special when he is mucking about with it in spring training its supposed to look horrible as he purposely does all the bad things so he can find out what the good things are baseball
Lol wtf @irish Do you have a 300 Terra byte hard drive with pictures of us? Looking like I'll take the job in August. I was going to hold out for a bigger market, but decided not to risk it. Just take the opportunity I was given to build my resume. And it's a good opportunity to take advantage of low cost of living for a while. We pay a fortune to live in Cerritos
i think you've made the right call that experience you'll get will prove priceless think of all the big time guys/gals... they always started in some out of the way place sometimes a few of them just stepping stones to the bigger prize and if we do a lair event in your absence we'll facetime you... bkitch
Congrats, and by the way, Irish does have a 300 TB drive, but it has other "pictures" and "images" than of us.
Congrats but my question is how did he get THAT picture? Looks like you are in your room...you know what nevermind im good
vaguely remember posting that picture when Amir and someone else were fighting...as my reaction to reading it or something. How stupid of me. Knew it would backfire.
Was holding his hands higher from what I saw, still had leg kick, not nearly as much though. Results aside, I like the look of that, hands not as high as CarGo or AGon, but higher Doesn't need to hit it 480 feet 415 will do
still a big swing but definitely a lot shorter than before not perfect mechanics, but very good at the point of contact -- particularly his head down [homo] on the ball [homo] hard to tell from the limited amount of film i've watched this spring, but it seems there are still vulnerabilities a good pitcher could exploit don't want to be too hard [homo] on him, just hoping to see more of this from him...
