I don't think Ned will be fired but I think his independence will be gone and Stan will be providing the direction and approving personnel decisions and be the guiding hand over team operations. Ned will be given time and opportunity to sink or swim but his sinking decisions will not be carried out.

The entire baseball world knows Ned has been under a lot of pressure to produce with limited resources and that includes Magic and Kasten therefore he won't be fired at least until the end of the year. Don't expect Kasten to be gung ho all of sudden about getting players, he is a development guy first and foremost. Our system along with the scouting and International departments will get the 1st assets allocated to them, imo.
Yeah, Ned was pressured into giving Juan Pierre 5 years....when Kenny Lofton could have done the same thing for free until the next year when Hunter and Jones (before we knew he would suck) was on the market. He was pressured into giving Uribe 3 years. Harriston more money than he has EVER made at the end of his career. He was forced to give Harang and Cap 2 years each. He was forced to give Lilly 3 years, 33 million....I guess that's because we have no money? No. It's because Ned doesn't know how to spend it. Don't get us started with Schmidt. exactly he gets pressured to do things that are not easy thats what being a GM is the dodgers situation was actually pretty good compared to a lot of other teams with gms who do better neds problem is how he responds to the pressure he has Obamaitis resulting in half measures coming from timidity and fear that make the dodgers front office operate from a reactionary position instead of proactive one and we end up with a class of incoming players that simply looks like if neds #1 priority is to cover his own ass
