I don't get him talking about this like they messed up and now they're stuck. I imagine it would only take a handful of phone calls and a couple signatures to get out of the TWC deal. TWC would love an out.
Fred Roggin @FredNBCLA 18h18 hours ago Deal approved for Charter to buy Time Warner Cable. Now will the #Dodgers tv deal finally get done? not holding my breath. But I would love to ditch twc if directtv picks up the channel. Twc is garbage
"Now Charter is eyeing a mid- to late-May completion date. Along with the FCC vote, the company still needs approval from the California’s Public Utilities Commission. A vote is scheduled for May 12."
flash to the future... BREAKING NEWS President Taylor Swift orders Charter to broadcast all Dodger games worldwide for free The wait is over. Dodger fans will finally be able to watch their team on live TV. "We knew a deal would eventually be struck. We just had to be patient and not act prematurely,” said Dodgers General Manager Corey Seager. "We want to thank our loyal fans for being patient as well." This year will mark the first home time games will be televised at the newly constructed Vin Scully Stadium. The Dodgers are hoping to reach the World Series for the first time since 1988, a streak that has now reached 60 years. Information courtesy Daily Sports Pages International (21 February 2048)
Charter has already been carrying the games. But hopefully their people can restart negotiations with the other carriers.
I just got fed up and cursed out two AT&T installation jockeys setting up a neighbors house with U-Verse. The smaller of the two offered that Charter offers the Dodgers on SNLA 'he thinks'. I came back inside, looked up the Charter webpage on sports channels offered and there is ZERO mention of SNLA. So they also lie.. surprise surprise. He said that since AT&T bought Charter and they carry more sports he thinks that they 'should' offer the Dodgers "some day". Fuck AT&T Fuck Charter Fuck Time Warner greedy asses About to go all luddite soon
I've been in a couple of houses that have Charter and they do carry SportsNet LA. They did it as a good faith effort while negotiating the merger with TWC. AT&T bought Directtv, not Charter. As far as I know. @CapnTreee
they can all buy whoever the fuck they want each other, others, idgaf if they don't show the dodgers, fuck them updating capn's list: fuck gayt&t fuck charter fuck twc fuck directtv and fuck the greedy asses in our organization who helped cause this half of la still unable to watch/listen to vin's final season is inexcusable they should all be beaten, disemboweled, ass raped, beaten again, and then incarcerated fuck them -- all of them!
you're obviously a young amatuer. THIS is the proper sequence. they should all be killed, beaten, disemboweled, ass raped, beaten again, and then incarcerated, and then killed again. Time will teach you these things, grasshopper.
daniel tosh @danieltosh i’d love to watch vin scully, but i’d rather drink puig’s ice bath water than pay for time warner.
DirecTV rejects latest attempt to restart SportsNet LA talks The latest attempt to end the Dodgers' blackout ended in failure this week, when the parent company of DirecTV declined an invitation from Rep. Janice Hahn (D-San Pedro) to meet with Time Warner Cable in her office. Instead, AT&T and TWC traded barbs as the Dodgers' SportsNet LA channel remains off the air in most Southern California homes for a third consecutive season. Charter Communications is expected to complete its takeover of TWC next month and could try to negotiate with AT&T thereafter. Hahn, who does not have any authority to compel the companies to meet, said she was disappointed that AT&T had declined. Time Warner Cable accepted Hahn's offer to facilitate a meeting, with or without her. However, in a letter to Hahn, AT&T said any meeting with TWC should be "conducted on a business-to-business basis ... without unproductive public posturing." Rep. Hahn prods DirecTV, Time Warner Cable to restart Dodger channel talks The AT&T letter, dated Thursday, also said: "We continue to stand ready to engage with TWC in good-faith negotiations to resolve this dispute when TWC agrees to conduct the negotiations in a professional manner consistent with industry practice of respecting the privacy and confidentiality of those discussions." AT&T spokesman Michael Balmoris declined to say why the company suggested TWC had acted unprofessionally when the parties had last met and wouldn't say whether there was any price at which AT&T believed it would make sense to carry SportsNet LA. It is believed AT&T was unhappy when The Times revealed in March that TWC had made short-term offers to try to get SportsNet LA on the air this season. TWC spokesman Andrew Fegyveresi declined to say whether AT&T had conveyed any concerns about TWC's privacy and confidentiality practices, but he did criticize AT&T for declining to meet under Hahn's auspices. "This is yet another example of AT&T/DirecTV's unwillingness to negotiate in good faith," he said. "So far, AT&T/DirecTV has rejected every offer, every compromise, and every neutral negotiating forum like arbitration or a meeting with the congresswoman." Dodgers President Stan Kasten, also without any authority to compel AT&T to meet, has expressed concern that DirecTV might never carry SportsNet LA. "It's a shame that Time Warner continues to try to make deals with every distributor, and DirecTV refuses to even meet to discuss making a deal," Kasten said. -- STFU KASTEN and TWC! Hacks! Blowhards! Imbeciles !
exactly trying to make att/direct tv the bad guys fuck you twc for making such a foolish deal in the first place you fucked up, don't expect others to bail you out and fuck you kasten, you disingenuous douche
