I think this will add more fuel to the fire for TWC. Get our cable package and watch no hitters. And then they keep driving up prices to other companies.
Bill Shaikin @BillShaikin · 4h With Time Warner Cable and DirecTV at impasse over #Dodgers TV, could legal action be coming? http://lat.ms/1kjlB1m
Just tried to sign into a TWC account, downloaded their stupid app and AFTER verifying all sorts of personal account info, billing info etc... I just found out that it gives me EXACTLY ZERO DODGERS!! Oh I found SNLA on channel 417... but... These royally arrogant shits advertise their app on the radio claiming that you can watch anything you want, anywhere you want, but then they turn off 296 of 300 channels. I can watch cooking, home sales, some weak ass PPV spam and NOTHING else. EVERY other channel is de-selected or 'turned off' unless you are sitting at home on your own TWC network. Class action lawsuit is gonna happen somewhere... just saying Someone is gonna get more pissed than me about these cocky bastards
Cox pulls the same stunt with their tablet app, not all channels are available. It's not cheap, but you could use a slingbox. You'd probably want your own cable box too for the slingbox to work off of. It's a pricey solution, but hell, you could ditch your home cable completely and use the slingbox feed. I've personally never used one so I can't comment on the quality.
So after a few days in Palm Springs of relaxation and watching SNLA..(The House had TWC)..My boys and I are about ready to say fuck it and jump ship.. Even my wife has made comments about our family time not being the same without Dodger Baseball in our living room..Sure we can stream on our computers but its just not the same. So Working out of the home office today and decided it was time to take a break and check the mail..What do you know, a TWC truck out front...Might just have to get this ball rolling.
It's ridiculous this has gone on this long. I have TWC so I'm fine but it ticks me off so many other Dodger fans can't get it. fuckers.
How do you like TWC? Any issues? Cost? Feel free to answer these questions in a PM. Im on the fence..
I really like TWC...I've had it for many many-many years. they will raise their rates on you every few months like I hear they all do and then you have to a call them and threaten to cancel and they lower them again a bit....it's a stupid game....but overall good service. I like that when something breaks or fails, they fix it for free.
I've had similar experiences. Have had HBO for free for 2 years now because of me playing the threats game. My only complaint, and one I've heard others have, is that customer service can lag it in terms of how long they take but I feel like that's a locational complaint. Depends where you are specifically more than an overall company thing
