Embarrassing defense and pitching for the Dodgers Sick of seeing opposing players hit balls into the pavilion
Game. Well, at least we fought back. But TB is right, these defensive mistakes have to stop. So many runs can be saved and so many pitchers arms can be helped if we could get the defensive side's sit together.
Beckett still sucks ass. Cool that we showed some fight and we're able to comeback. Kenley is being an annoying prick right now but we all know he'll come around. Frustrating.
Seriously. Starting this bull shit again where we can't buy a win when someone other than the main 3 start. CK and Bills will certainly finish the rotation.
All those Dodger fans that can't watch the games this year thanks to Time Warner should be grateful they haven't had to see Kenley pitch so far this season. The Dodgers have closer issues every season it seems like. When The Beard gets back healthy I wonder if he'll be the closer if Kenley continues to give up the lead and pitch like League does.
Why was Ethier held at 3rd in the 9th? I know Dre is slow but I bet he could've made it. Who is our 3B coach?
His run didn't matter so no risk making an out. Kemp (Ethier's trail runner) MUST score to extend the game. So Ethier going on that particular play wouldn't make sense.
And, if you look at this replay...which does a fantastic job capturing every angle, you can see Ethier would've been dead at home. http://m.mlb.com/lad/video/?content_id=31963513&topic_id=52448062&c_id=la
meh, i'll take a split kenley is fine, vmart just has the upper hand on him... right now stoked on the team coming back last night and tonight not going to slit my wrists (just yet) with ck, beard and aj on the shelf its still april and -- all things considered -- it could be a lot worse* *be warned... this is what i sound like when there's no whiskey in the house
I said at the beginning that splitting the series would be great. Sucks that we had to lose like that after we came all the way back, but at least we made it interesting. We need to get better pitching performances though from the non Ryu/Greinke/Haren trio. Beckett has a very short leash for me if I'm in the Dodger FO. Dude got completely shelled last year, and even though it was just the first start, it didn't look inspiring. He just doesn't have an out-pitch.
