what would a Pederson/Lee package could get us?

    Please read it out before letting the rage free...

    Both are blocked, maybe Lee a little bit less, but still blocked. Joc wont have a clear spot until 2018 at least, and Lee until 2015.

    Would you guys be willing to make a Pederson/Lee package that could land us someone like Cliff Lee or a good 3B? what kind of package should we receive for 2 prospects like that?

    Like I said yesterday, the only way I trade these top guys is for a young gun(s) who was a couple years left before they hit FA (this would mean that I am 100% no on Lee because he is older and already has a large contract). The trade I had proposed was Lee, Pederson, Seager and Reed for Price, which I would do.

    Outside of that, there are only a very, very few I would trade these guys for (all or a combination of). I think they would include (not going to mention all of them):

    - David Price
    - Ian Desmond
    - Jordan Zimmerman
    - Evan Longoria
    - Kyle Seager
    - Max Scherzer
    - Jason Kipnis
    - Carlos Santana :(
    - Giancarlo Stanton

    Anyways, I doubt any of these guys get traded, but essentially I would trade our top guys for these guys.

    Not to be a downer, but we've been down this road before with Cliff Lee. He doesn't want to play here nad has a notrade to us.
    Also, I'm not sure there is any great 3B available in the least bit. Michael Young isn't that good.
    Maybe Kyle Seager....yeah I'd do that.

    Lee could have a spot next year (you can't expect Fife to keep doing what he is doing), unless they are able to sign the Cuban defector Gonzalez this month, then I could see Lee being moved.

    Pederson is probably my favorite spect. Would hate to see him go.

    I think he's going to be a September call-up this year. I would rather see him as the 4th OF rather than Hairston or Schumaker.

    Pederson is the one most likely to go... they need to take advantage of his value now... he has no place to play...

    Why don't we have an international signing day thread?

    We haven't signed anyone yet but still. I bet we are waiting on Encarnacion who can't sign until next month when he turns 16.
