Agreed. He had a cute little start but has had 8 hits since May 5th, and in that time has put up a .133/.185/.200 line. Striking out at a 37% clip as well. Combine that with his allergy to drawing walks...not a good combination.

 

Unrelated but we're really fucking with Vargas's development as well. Why call him up to only start Kike at 3B? Dude is just as awful with the bat as CT3, Pages, Lux, Barnes, etc.

Run him out at 3B and let the man get some consistent AB's. We'll never know if he's capable of anything unless he gets another shot at some consistent playing time.

 

Unrelated x 2: This team isn't built to win shit in the post-season. We're far too top heavy, which is fine during the regular season but will absolutely not get it done when it counts (see the last 11+ seasons lol).

Come playoffs, you need the guys in the 6-9 spot to actually resemble decent MLB hitters, and you need some guys on the bench who can step in and provide a timely hit.

Rojas, Pages, Kike, CT3, Lux, Barnes, Heyward and Outman are all the same shitty hitter that you just hope gets lucky and runs into one.

Rojas at least has a lower K rate, but you can't carry 8 fucking guys like that on a post-season roster. (I also know Outman is currently non on the active roster but I'm almost positive he will be back soon).
