Like I said different strokes for different folks.

 

The US Office during the first 3 seasons was awkward, quirky, sarcastic, and innovative humor RELATIVE to other American comedies over the previous 50 years.
The American audience wouldn't take to the full darkness of the british version. That's why it was an adaptation, not a remake.

And I don't think it's because they don't understand dark humor like Britts think we don't. We just prefer more attractive, loveable and yes, like you said...more slapstick style. But I still think the US version maintained as much sarcasm and awkwardness as it could in our country.

But anyways, yes. Just opinion

I think neurotic humor gets old. I could barely stomach nearly everything from Woody Allen. Steve Carrell has taken too many roles where his hen pecked virginal character has bb sized testicles and so now I can hardly watch him any more.

I want to take pity on such an enormous loser which spoils 'whatever' humor may be present.

Same with Ben Stiller.

If you think Vinny is perfect that's fine...I don't. he has taken the anti homer thing to the exact opposite level; it's way beyond gracious, and I am entitled to post whatever I want....and if he gets annoying (to me) with his adulation of the other team, no matter who it is, like I care what you think a "real Dodger fan" should feel ?
I've dealt with crappy Dodger teams before, losses before, and I'm certainly not going to be chastised by you...are you the consumate LAD fan? I should do what you write is a do or don't? You must be joking.
If he taught you everything that makes the game enjoyable, then that's good for you...some people have developed their own sense of enjoyment by themselves. And some people would be BB fans without him...I would imagine the fans of the rest of the AL and NL. Y'know...millions.
If I don't live up to the Scully adoration level that you think everyone should, well...you know...tough and all that.
But if you think it makes you a better fan than someone who doesn't, you're as self righteous as you sound, I guess.
S'matter? can't take a little criticism of Vin...sounds like your spoiled when something doesn't go your way, or the way you think others should feel....

 

Interesting...I think Gervais is quite a brilliant guy, and not only did he start a genre with "The Office" he went on to "Extras" and some hilarious other stuff, and never stops creating. But that's just opinion...like stated.
I'm curious as to why you can't stand him...
