Breakdown of Royals-White Sox suspensions:
Yordano Ventura gets seven games (which is basically one start, so why the weird # of games?) for saying Fuck you to Adam Eaton because he is a "repeat offender"
Adam Eaton gets nothing for saying something to Ventura immediately after the pitch causing Ventura to say F you then starting the benches clearing by walking towards Ventura after he was thrown out.
Kelvin Herrera gets two games for throwing a punch.
Edinson Volquez gets 5 games (or basically an extra days rest between starts) for being an inaccurate puncher/slapper
Lorenzo Cain gets two games for being charged at by Jeff Samardzija twice
Samardzija gets 5 games (or basically an en extra days rest) for charging at Cain twice and running over a Royals coach in the process, also escalating the brawl, twice.
Sale gets 5 games (or basically an extra days rest also) for charging at Royals players and then trying to enter their clubhouse during the game.

 

did Kersh ever get any suspension in the brawl with the DBags? he pretty much stomped on their hitting coach up against the rail multiple times and got away with it, i believe. Hahaha

a team that has gotten HBP 17 times this season starting with Jeff Samardzija intentionally throwing at Lorenzo Cain on opening day after giving up a HR to Mike Moustakas. And on this day Adam Eaton got butthurt that Ventura quick pitched him and screamed at Ventura right out of the box, causing Ventura to react, and then Eaton caused the benches to clear, not Ventura, by walking towards Ventura after he was thrown out instead of heading back to the dugout.

 

Puig slapped Hinske on the back of his neck so hard you could hear it on the broadcast..i remember that.

Wtf are the Angels thinking? There must be a story much, much bigger than anything we have seen because a $15M savings is not why he is gone. Trust me, there has to be something really big there.

12:02pm: The Rangers will take on less than $7MM of Hamilton’s contract, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports. Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, meanwhile, writes that the Rangers will pay $2MM-$3MM. Hamilton will eat about $6MM of the contract himself, according to Grant, since he can make up at least some of the difference due to the fact that Texas does not have a state income tax. That means the Angels could still save $8MM-$13MM. Hamilton will also receive an opt-out clause after 2016.

I think it's pretty amusing that the Mets are on the verge of being 7 games ahead of the Nats. HAfuckinha!
Buryin' them early...the Nats could come back, no doubt, but with the Mets pitching, I don't see a prolonged collapse and losing streak. Seven games, IMO, is signifigant, even now.
I also think, barring injury, Matt Harvey will be right in the middle of the CY at the end.

 

Shit if the Angels want to give out hand me outs, I'd have swapped Ethier for Hamilton lol
