it's .316 today, was .353 before yesterday..however, it's .350 for his career and you said he hasn't proven anything in his career. he's proven that he can get on base and hit the ball hard. his career OPS+ is 118.

i don't think Ethier and Crawford are easily moved..throwing in 30+ million dollars to move someone while taking back minor leaguers is not something that's easily done. you have to be patient and get the right return and that's part of what they were brought in to do..get value for these overpaid OFs.

OK, so how long do you see Kemp going for? he has 5yrs left on his deal and just barely returned to form last July..it hasn't even been a year yet.

I doubt he finishes that contract in San Diego, more likely ends up in the AL as a DH or in the NL as a DH, which should allow him to play out that contract. And excuse me if I am invalidating his rookie year where he tested positive for PED's at the end of that year, and his slash line since then is .221/.331/.382/

yeah, the supposed UCL damage in his arm..they get another year of service if he has to get Tommy John and what not.

i would hate to see SVS never get a shot to play more ball, so for me ( just for me)..LF would be a last resort for Olivera. they of course might see that differently.

i would also hate to see Olivera's arm issues force a trusted bat like Kendrick's out. especially when AGon has 3 years left on his deal and Olivera could move into 1B midway through his contract. i guess we all hope that his arm is fine and he can play 3B. or i tell you what.." Howie Kendrick to LF. " Lol just find a way to keep that bat in the lineup. we have all these left handed guys that need righty protection and all Kendrick does is produce.

i don't think he finishes up in SD either, but when i asked you how long do you see him going for..what i meant was, how long do you see him playing at this current level? remember, Kemp has been inconsistent throughout his career..i don't think aging is going to help there..not when you're leaving your prime.

Grandal also tore multiple knee ligaments and has since been coming back from that as well, so that slash line is a bit foggy for those reasons, but good point on the PED issue.

but we've watched the games..how many times has he hit the ball hard right to a defensive player that was in perfect position? quite a bit.

i shouldn't say that Kemp's been inconsistent throughout his career..he had that thud of a year in 2010 and that's pretty much been it considering the injury and shoulder surgery thereafter. that injury derailed him, but he's still gonna be 31 in a few months. like you said, " DH " is around the corner.

Dodgers acquired LHP Xavier Cedeno from Washington for cash considerations. Daniel Corcino was DFA'd. Cedano has no options left.

The scariest place on Earth right now is the 40th spot on the Dodgers 40 man roster.

Still trying to wrap my head around the move to send Adam down but I think it will only be for 1 or 2 days to get a left handed hitter on the bench. The Carcino thing is just plain odd!!!!!!!!! Then there's the fact that the guy we got is another LHP which Adam happens to be. Trade coming perhaps?

He's down 10 days minimum unless someone goes on the DL. Adam is down to call up Heisey (a RH hitter), who will likely be sent back down/DFA'd to call up Bolsinger tomorrow.

According to hitfx (amazing that this data is finally becoming publically available) Matt kemp was near the very bottom of batted ball velocity around like 80 mph. Puig was near the very top at around 100

Edit: Through 4/18 Puig was averaging 95 mph for batted ball velocity which puts him 14th in the league. Morse leads the league at 99.7. Dee Gordon was bottom 5 in the high 70s and Kemp still low at around 85 mph

    Disclaimer of sss of course

The Heisey deal is dumb as fuck. Wish we didn't even have him.

He's one of 2 MLB quality CF'ers we have. He's not very good but not a bad option for one start every once in a blue moon without having shit in defense out there

He can actually play CF though and we have nobody else who can. Plus, he's been one of the best pinch hitters in the NL for the last few years, I'd say he has some use.

There isn't an OF we have that can't play CF, as every single OF on the roster has in fact started a game at CF, play CF well though, is a different story.
