Again, not saying I have any problems with the venting or style. People have hashed over this shit many times on here before. I get it. We lost, it was a rough game. It sucked. I was mainly talking about the fans on Twitter that claim the world is ending after every single loss to Eric Stephen and the Dodger Digest crew.

 

Look, we're all Dodger fans. If they could, we'd wish they'd win 162 regular season games and win the WS every year.

But can you give at least some credit to the idea that a team that wins 3 World Series is five years is not exactly taking the "it's a crapshoot" argument about the playoffs. That's just not possible considering all the games that have to be played and won to accomplish that.

It can't just be a crapshoot. They want to make it in because they know once in, they have the right players and strategy to win 3-4 games against any team in a playoff series.

It can't be just luck.

As for Kershaw, he's a Hall of Fame pitcher. But he does have a 5.12 ERA in his 8 playoff starts. He is something like 9.72 ERA in his last 4. Small sample size, yes. But I wouldn't be shocked at all if Kershaw was a 3 run pitcher at least in the playoffs. That means the offense better be clicking and Donnie on top of his game. Can't afford to lose games like today in a 7 game series.

The Padres are “pushing hard” to trade big-name stars, executives from other teams tell Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. Obviously, Justin Upton, Will Venable and Ian Kennedy are clear trade candidates, since those players are due to become free agents after the season. ButJames Shields, Andrew Cashner and Craig Kimbrel, who all are controlled beyond 2015, have also come up very frequently in talks, according to Heyman. Other possibilities includeTyson Ross, who’s due for free agency after 2017, and Joaquin Benoit, whose contract contains a club option for 2015.

If you whine and remark about bad management, poor on field play, silly mistakes, quarter century + of no WS appearances, etc., it means you are a shitty fan and are less mature and not as good as those who have the opposite opinion. And you suck.

I don't think it's ALL luck. You still have to be good. Bumgarner basically had to pitch out of his mind for them to win.

But as long as two 80-win, Wild Card teams can make and then ultamately win the World Series. I will forever say it's a crapshoot.

 

Pretty confident that we walk away with Hamels or Price. Like 58.893797842383748923748926753895748396826478374857347259108273715667325472687462542% sure.
