We will likely have the 4th best record in the NL. If we get to the NLCS and face the Cubs or Pirates do we get home field for being a division winner? Or do they get it for having a better record? I know we've touched on this in another thread. MZA mentioned the 2007 Phillies having Homefield over a team with a better record because they won the East. But is this rule still in tact?
St. Louis will definitely devil magic their way into the NLCS so at least it's a fun thought to have.
So wtf are they going to do with Harvey in the postseason? Pitch him 5 innings and then go to the pen? What's the point of that?
It sounds like they aren't going to really do anything about it. I think he realized he fucked up big time by making that public so now he is going to try to save face, or else these could be his final games in a Mets uniform. Yankees fans are bad, but they understand the long term value of a player, the Mets fans need to win and they need to win now. Harvey throws 4-5 innings in game one of the NLDS and they lose because of it, hordes of people will be sitting outside Citi with pitch forks and torches. I also like how people have conveniently ignored just how fucking shitty that division has been this year.
Mets fans are crazy. http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/...ailing-to-run-out-dropped-third-strike-092315 Booing Cespedes of all people the other night after all he has done for them....unreal. They deserve to suck
You seem to know about this stuff...why this year, if all goes well, will we be playing the NLE winner instead of the Cardinals , like always. Just a change up this year?
Best record faces the WC winner. Had we finished ahead of the Nats last year, we could have prevented the vaGiants from winning another WS. Cards get screwed in a way considering how well the Pirates/Cubs have played, but I fully expect them to win regardless of who they face.
Yeah, they're very cocky right about now. They will be unbearable around here if the horrendous happens. It seems like they feel entitled and with magical powers...but capable of a very short memory, too. We'll see...
I still have nightmares about Kent and Drew getting thrown out at home vs the Mets in game 1 of the NLDS back in, 06? And then Broxton giving us a preview of things to come with his shitshow in game 3 to finish off the sweep....I haven't forgotten. I want revenge.
Ha, funny enough my aunt texted me asking if I wanted to go, but I passed, the idea of a road playoff game gives me anxiety
Yeah I can barely handle a regular season game in Anaheim. Can't imagine going to on the road for a playoff game in New York. Would you go to a World Series game against the Yankees?
Absofuckinglutely. And wear my Dodger colors. Of course that's just me. I'm also the guy who attends USC games in my Ohio State shirt so I have little regard for my life
