Home field is a lost cause. Worst record of any NL playoff team. Opening up on the road against the effing Mets who weren't even supposed to compete.
I'd go to the games in NY, but I barely have any money to my name right now. I'm sure I'd have to work late those nights anyway, lol. And yeah, I'd be surprised if we get home field. We're not exactly playing stellar baseball right now.
Having home field advantage is going to play a big part in this series against the Mets. But at the same time if game 1 is in NY then I am confident in Kershaw to do his thing. Just the offense/late injuries have me worried that we can actually score enough runs to win for him Also, I wonder if the FO/coaching staff are thinking in giving the ball to Greinke game 1??? I would give it to Kershaw tbh
honeycutt will be torn between kersh and zack dbb will resolve the issue by starting frias, saying he has a "hunch" that "hunch" leads to 6 runs without recording an out and before the evening is over, dbb exhausts the bullpen in an 18-4 loss
Well, he isn't Alex Wood or Brett Anderson. May not be that confident in him on short rest, but he could pitch right handed and i'd be more confident in him than those two.
Actually, I wouldn't have a problem with Wood pitching in NY because that means you're going to have a good chance of Kershaw/Grienke pitching at home.
that its a limited record, that if desperate measures are needed, you prefer him on short rest rather then Brett Anderson, and that he has experience doing it where you'd hope he knows how to cope his body better for it. And that he's great
Nah Kershaw is a stud who needs his rest. Especially on the big postseason stage. Sending him out on 3 days rest because his heart says he'll try is a mistake. Give him his rest and he's a beast. We NEED the beast even if he skips his last regular season start.
