    I cannot fathom the great Joe Maddon failing so horribly. Everyone told me the manager is important and mostly determines post season success.

    Failure is in the eye of the beholder here. It's year 1 for him, they're a young team ahead of schedule and they beat the Cardinals which is more than we can do. Didn't go all the way to the WS in year 1..meh.

    comparing this years Cards to the ones we faced is silly as hell man. I'm comparing the same team, the same season, the same month. don beat that Mets team 2x, and was real close to 3-4. Maddon hasn't even sniffed a win against them.

    They're still the Cardinals and against all odds they won 100 games themselves this year. I guess what I'm saying is there's nothing that can be taken away from Maddon in his 1st year. They exceeded all expectations.
