He won't do the team much good if he comes up and they only allow him to throw 90 god damned pitches. I hope we finally see him into the 7th and around 90 tonight.

It's all about the shake up, we are staid right now and IMO we need a spark. You keep the pitch limit. I only advocated a spot start on his normal rest not a long term solution.

Urias has gone 5 scoreless on minimal amount of pitches and now has a 27 inning scoreless streak

Montas 1st for me, NEED that pen to be broken up. Then Jose DeLeon to break up our rotation. Not sure where Ryu is on his rehab.

Last I heard JDL was having issues with his arm, has had to miss starts
If the season keeps going like this maybe Montas' 1st action would need to be as a starter and see what they have there?

Ryu is about 2 weeks away. Supposedly. That's what Rizzo said last night (no adultery).

Some notes from the last couple of days:
-Montas threw two innings and gave up a solo shot, but it sounds like it was less to do with a mistake and more to do with the wind helping the ball get out. He hit 100 and there was video of him throwing a filthy 91 MPH slider to strike a guy out.
-Bellinger is heating up. Hit another HR last night and is hitting around the .400 mark the last week+.
-Frias got lit up in his first rehab start in AAA, he does not do well at high altitudes.
    - Yasiel Sierra got rocked, then left with an apparent injury. Not a good sign for the team as he is one of the next arms supposedly to be on his way.
    - Zach Lee continues to pitch well. I think after yesterday's 17 inning game and Stripling looking a bit vulnerable, we could be seeing Lee again here soon. He is not the ace we were hoping for, but he looks like a solid back of the rotation pitcher.
    - Alex Guerrero is doing terrible on his rehab assignment
    - SVS just started his and may be signalling the end of the Carl Crawford era in LA. Hard to see them send down their only back up SS even if he is struggling.
    - If they do send down KikAY, Barnes may be on his way up as he continues to look like the ultimate utility player.
    - A pitcher should be up today to help the team after that game yesterday. Avilan and Cotton are probably the best options, but Cotton has been getting lit up. Thomas is currently hurt.

Any port in a storm...it's gotten to the point that if they brong up player XY or Z, offensively or defensively for a try, if they fail miserably, it will be status quo. And at least something was tried

Just what we needed from Bellinger, guess the grand slam sparked him.
Any word on their plans for Montas' role?

    Montas in for holds.
Bellinger to start pushing out Agon.
Barnes to be insurance for whenever Seager needs to sit. He can play anywhere up the middle from catcher to cf. Probably can pitch too in a pinch.
Lee may be a good long distance reliever at the very least for when the team is losing and needs to rest relievers.
Frias was not atrocious last season and could very well be a help to the bullpen this year.

    Things are looking up.

I'd expect Tsao goes on the DL today or tomorrow and Bolsinger pitches tomorrow

    i like montas and bellinger
but hard to say things aren't looking up if lee and frias are the solutions
    i like barnes
but as chief alluded, he needs to prove he can hit mlb pitching

I know it's more complicated then I'm going to make it seem but, to me I see Barnes this way: he's 26 years old and they don't think what he could currently do is valuable enough to make room for him on an MLB roster. 26 doesn't mean his career is over but there's also not a lot of natural development time for him left and he's in what is considered some of his peak years.
