DSP crashed for me during the 10th inning but wow. Almost too perfect. The emotions are so heavy right now. I'm praying to God I can just enjoy the moment and not let my heartache for Vin consume me to the point where I can't enjoy a potential historic Dodgers run to a World Series.
I cant believe this is the organization that had Vicente Padilla start opening day some years ago. We have come so far.
Charlie botches a lot of routine balls but makes the spectacular plays when it counts. His 4 straight HR call was epic, his Aaron Boone call was great, and he's had many others. I personally hope he gets the home games next year because going from Vin straight to Davis full time is too jarring of a switch for me. I need an old times-y voice to ease the transition.
I guess I must've buried that memory deep. Had to look it up, and you're right... in 2010. Kershaw has pitched every opening day since - six in total - and the Dodgers have won every one. That's pretty damn special.
What an Epic game... Stadium was jumping.. Fans stayed the entire game.. Corey hit the shit outta that ball and Chuck pimped the shit outta that walk off!! Super emotional with Vin but what an epic way to culminate the regular season and Vins career at the Ravine.. Special
Just glad to enjoy another journey with you guys. Congrats men, but it's safe to say that we all expect more.
That's Charles Fucking Culbertson to you and me (and everyone else). Fitting character for the clincher. Not one of the high $$ guys, but one of the last men on the roster. This has an '88 vibe to it.
