democratic party is clearly floundering from the retired 72 year old kentucky governor retort to sitting on their hands as trump laid out solid policy goals not sure who they think they are the party of even van jones liked his speech pelosi, waters, etc. and pillory w her little recorded videos is positively bizarre not a fan of a one party system but unless dems get their head out their asses its heading that way to say they are rudderless is a vast understatement
how is calling somewhat out whining? maybe you're the type to sit quiet when something annoys you, but not me tell me honestly... do you believe the conservatives would be doing this shit if had hillary won? trump might be a douchebag but he won fair and square all the protests/acts of defiance prove is that the libs are are bunch of sore losers
I know you didn't ask me...but yes. They'd dress in prison garb or something. And would be trying to get her impeached for the email thing I think she did commit a crime BTW. The difference is they wouldn't have the media on their side.
That's not whining. I'd rather our elected (lol, you know my thoughts on that) representatives be more respectful to one another, but Cramer is hardly whining there.
you may be right, but not to this degree i've never seen anything like this yes he's a douchebag (mainly because he eats steaks well done with ketchup) and the allegations he doesn't pay people who do work for him but you said it yourself -- actually, just opened the door -- he didn't commit any crimes lol at that fugly fat chick who claimed he groped her and all the subsequent vegan bitches calling him a rapist for it doubt the conservatives would be blocking traffic and busting up starbucks probably wouldn't have had the opportunity actually tbh pantsuit bkitch would have probably already declared war on someone by now by private email of course
Exactly. Now, explain to me how what they are doing and what protestors are doing is whining, but what you are doing is not?
First of all, I didn't realize this was the debate club and we couldn't make fun of people. Second, he calls himself, and encourages others to call him the "science guy." He isn't a scientist. It's not an ad hominem to challenge his self-stated title when it's a fraud. Since we're all nerded up and pretending we're in the debate club now, he's a walking self-referential instance of the appeal to authority fallacy. Third, here's some content for you: he thinks people that dissent from his orthodoxy should be prosecuted/jailed. http://reason.com/blog/2016/04/15/bill-nye-science-guy-open-to-jail-time-f I'm sure Galileo would love what "science" has become in the 21st century. Hey, look it's that common theme again. If you don't like their words/thoughts, advocate to have them silenced.
The congresswomen wearing white weren't in the street burning shit either. Neither were millions of protestors the past month+. Would you not agree that the "whining" label is really dependent on whether or not you agree with the person/people being talked about? What @irish is really saying is he disagrees with the congresswomen. What I'm saying is I disagree with @irish. Circle of life.
I think if it's funny, its automatically not whining. Irish gets the lifetime achievement award for being funny so its not whining
Well, shit. I knew I should have said something about Labor Day in my post. BTW, is it currently before or after Labor Day?
So really that's the crime here, unseasonal attire. Because for a second I thought people were suggesting politicians should not make political statements.
so anytime someone voices their opinion it's whining? that would pretty much eliminate any dialogue on this site based on your definition in fact, the sole purpose of forums is to voice one's opinion; [whether it's about] baseball, life, whatever a lot different than making public statements, demonstrating, protesting -- where the sole intention is to attract attention to yourself
My point was actually that they weren't whining. Apparently we disagree. I also disagree that the motivation behind posting on here is significantly different than public forms of communication. So we will agree to disagree. But we can still be friends, bkitch.
talking about your opinions too much or too strongly is the same as whining everyone has opinions, why are yours special compared to others the need to share soo much equals whining like when you have a cold, everyone gets colds people who are not whiners will just get on with their day whiners will gripe about having a cold or being sick or just talk about their problem/issue/opinion that is why in spanish having a cold is called literally having a gripe. its not just about talking but about making noise a person with a cold will cough, snort, sneeze, chortle, and make other noises sometimes more than necessary out of a self calming mechanism similar like talking too much because it comes from our older times when folks did not yet talk all the time but a grunt here, an elevated tone there, a sound of bewilderment or exclamation was enough to convey to the person your thoughts and they were usually some kind of gripe hey, i should know you dont go to a healthy guy for advice on how to be healthy its like asking a guy born wealthy how to make money or asking a fish how wet water is or a wallflower in this situation
