I didn't realize Britton was injured for a while and since coming back he hasn't struck many guys out and has walked quite a few. He's a big name with incredible upside, but I understand the caution.

Here is the weird part, the article mentions Kyle Farmer as a replacement for Barnes, but Farmer is ranked way down on the prospect list Smith and Ruiz are ranked higher. Still the idea is there. Barnes as a trade chip might be more valuable than Barnes the back up.

In other news, Dustin Nosler over at Dodgers Digest had something I think a lot of people may have glanced over in his piece about Chris Taylor as it was just a quick blip. He is hearing that the Dodgers are shopping Logan Forsythe around....... That is wild and I wonder if this would be a precursor to the team A. Acquiring and OF'er or B. Bringing Verdugo up for CF, moving Joc to LF and making Taylor the full time 2B.

 

Seems bizarre because they'd likely get less for him than what they gave to acquire him just months earlier.
Is it simply to open 2B for Taylor or would he be a part of a deal that brings back something we need?
And what teams would be in on Logan? I think his best baseball is ahead of him, so I don't want to just give him away, Seems like a guy who will come up with a huge oppo single to tie a WS game or something.

They'd have to be real certain Verdugo is ready to contribute immediately. We've been spoiled by Corey and Cody. I think Alex can do it though, because he walks more than a Ks, hits for high average to the gaps, and is doing it all in AAA as a 21 year old.

 

Jaime Garcia has been scratched from his scheduled start tomorrow and Aaron Blair is coming up in his place. Garcia is getting moved.
