6:25pm: Houston may actually be setting its sights elsewhere at the moment, according to Jon Heyman of Fan Rag (Twitter links). Indeed, he says it’s not even clear if the sides are engaged presently in “serious talks.” He adds that the Athletics have “named their price” on Gray with the Yankees. While there’s no indication that those two clubs are near to a deal, that certainly suggests it’s still an open situation.

 

He had that lull in June, but that was after teams adjusted to him and it appears that he has adjusted back. Those are good signs that he is going to be able to stick.

 

Seems every time it looks like he's reverting to what we thought he was, he goes on another tear.

And not a FA until 2022... if he is for real, the Dodgers are going to have a set IF for the foreseeable future.

Hits, is versatile and adds an element of speed (actually knows how to use it).

Pleasantly surprised how well he's adapted to the OF. He's a little rough around the edges, but he gets the job done with his athleticism.

 

I think he is for reals and has found his place.

I can see Forsythe playing 2b and 3b giving JT some rest with Taylor @ 2b and LF from here on out. Taylor has earned his spot at the right time. This will save us a lot of money and open another spot in our roster which really spells Utley last season as a Dodger.

Furcal. Would have had an amazing career if he wasn't so injury and Jason Repko prone.

 

But, he's Chris Taylor though. At the end of the day. Is he really going to make a career of this? History is littered with Yasiel Puig's, and very few Justin Turners. What's his BABIP? Is his pace really sustainable? His trade value may never be higher.

Not saying we should, just food for thought.

 

Barnes which reminds me of a Craig Biggio style of player could be a casualty of trade because of his age and is doing a great job at the most toughest position in baseball with versatility.

 

That's why you keep Foresythe as insurance and keep rolling with it. Taylor is becoming the player that Baseball America predicted.

 

I can never agree to a situation where we keep fuckhead Forsythe. Barnes can play second as insurance. Logan can play in traffic.

 

Only way I trade Barnes and Taylor is if Detroit send us Wilson Verlander and Miguel ..........wow
