Why does Kike get playing time? The dude sucks. Gonna ride that 3 HR game for the rest of his career, huh?
I just started watching. Has CK looked bad or something? Or did he have one bad inning and everyone, per usual, jumps off a cliff?
They have the easier schedule and actually look good. May not be world beaters, but they've kicked our ass and if we tie with them, we're fucked.
Touched a nerve apparently. A throwaway comment, too. You're the greatest, CK! Can't wait to see the lower third graphic of your "55-1 with 4 or more runs of support in regular season play" right before you blow a 4+ run lead in the WC game. I'll defend CK to the grave against fans of other teams but I'll vent as much as I want when I see him becoming more and more human. Yeah, his results have been pretty good this year, but it's hard to watch him go from the indisputable best on the planet to just a good pitcher. Let people cope and see what happens with the opt out
You mean me? If you do, then...hey, the guy asked a question and I gave him what I consider a truthful answer. I don't see it your way, not in this eon. Seldom have. So what?
Kershaw is a fascinating case because he will be remembered as one of the best ever and IMO is not deserving of that. Not to be dramatic, but the guy is personally responsible for way too much heartache to be in that conversation. Regular season greatness doesn't cut it. Now the prime is over and done with, I just find him a bit annoying. I won't miss him when he signs with the Rangers.
we say that...but we will. tragic career from a fan perspective. He has nothing to hang his head about as he's one of the best pitchers ever, a world class human being, and set for life. As a fan of the Dodgers, though, it's tragic his greatness will not include a World Series. While he's made some great post season starts, his blow ups are too untimely and epic to stomach
There's truth in what you say. I'm not even saying that out of spite or anything, I wish him the best and obviously he's a good guy. But yeah. The yearly postseason fiascos are too much. I blame him for searing Matt Carpenter and Matt Adams into my memory. After this season, I sincerely hope he ships off. Of course, he will probably sign with the Astros and pitch a perfect game against us in the 2019 WS.
I think last night was the first time since we were 8 GB in May that I legitimately felt like we will not win the division.
If we don’t win the division, we won’t get to the playoffs. There are way too many teams ahead of us even though we are 2 back of the 2nd wildcard. There are too many teams to hope to lose for a WC to happen. The series with the D-bags may decide whether we stay in the race, but The Rockies are now in first, so there’s a lot more ground to make up
