how about this for some shit my nephews are still on LAFD and are getting a deal that will DOUBLE their pay i mean, good for them, but as a taxpayer i'm outraged so typical of government to decide to do something like this without even negotiating are you telling me 20k a year more wouldn't be enticing and make individual deals? nah lets just take a guy making 100k and take him to 200k WTF IS THAT? are you telling me no one else can be trained to shoot water on fucking fires? thats what kind of attitude comes from never having to be responsible for a budget just keep spending and justify a larger budget next year no problem i'm sure it doubles their retirement and benes as well but hey there's more where that came from
sad yet 100% true saw him in vegas in the early 90's and he was still hilarious but as he grew older he became more bitter and jaded, and sadly it affected his comedy
Living in the Bay Area, Fake Tales of San Francisco expertly explains what it's like to live in douche-bag, VC world. One of my favorite songs from their 1st album.
Anybody see Boehemian Rhapsody? Fucking awesome, and I wasn't even into Queen very much. Am now. Great film.
getting a lot of mixed reviews mostly by gays that think malek should have had his sphincter spread in multiple scenes i can understand someone that didn't know much about them finding it interesting but for me to pay to see a guy lip syncing maybe the greatest voice ever... i'll wait until its on netflix should have let cohen portray him in all his decadent debauchery can't have anyone tarnishing the hedonistic gay frontmans image can we? i think brian may probably kept the creativity in shackles so he can keep touring w whats his fag
I would like to have seen what Cohen would have done with the role, for sure. A big fan. I probably wouldn't have seen it, but my gf is a Queen freak, so I did. As a movie, I appreciated the way it was put together and the Live Aid concert was very impressive...epic. To a guy who wasn't a huge fan (although I marvelled at Mercury's pipes), it was extremely entertaining to me. I usually see a movie and come away with the positive aspects of it, not the negative...that's because I'm such an optimist, lol. Except for the fucking Dodgers.
Just heard a Stern interview with Ben Stiller...funny and interesting. Worth sharing a bit about his dad... He hated the Beatles because he thought they were anti Semetic. Why? They had a big hit with the song "Hate Jews". Take a sad song and make it better....
