Heyman saying Philly and NYm are prominent in the Betances race. Why do I feel like he’s one of those east coast only losers?

Maybe constantly putting our business out into the world constantly makes our organizations appear weak and dysfunctional in the zeitgeist of every mind in baseball?

Maybe social media is the distributer of such negative energy.
Are we part of the problem?
I have thought often and used to point my radar at negative members and try to weed them out. We only kept those that were positively negative and just removed the black holes. Or turned them inside out.

So are we doing it wrong?
If we want our millennial ultra emo ball players respond to our organization we have to fan their team spirit using the language that reaches them.
Like how children are forced to relate with their parents because they know the parents are too mature to still relate to the kid in their heart.
    It's kinda the same thing.
With these types of little monsters it's always the same... If you build it for them maybe they will come.
And that's as good a bargain you can make.

How bout 20 bucks to watch game with fans. BBQ included and 3 pacifico or lagunitaa or aguas frescas of passion fruit cherimoya prickly pear pomegranate sangria mandarin and anything else on the mountain. Chips and salsa from LaTolteca tortilla company on tap with a whole avocado of guac per person from one of my trees.
Buffet of fruits and salads and teas and coffee and pastries.

    Plus entertainment.
Would you drive to Arcadia for it?
    And pay 20?
To watch the game with a group of regulars, some starters, and a few bench warmers?
    And eat your heart out.
Where you can talk all the shit you want.
    Just like here.

    Where you gonna find that?

I'm not trying to say otherwise. I'm saying that compared to every other offer the dodgers are hands down better. It's like the Dodgers have to pay sin tax.

The article was saying we eat the whole contract in that deal. I like the deal, except that Arenado has an opt out after 2021, and I feel like that is a lot to give up for 2 years of Arenado at $35 million per year... although it’s still a close deal.

The problem I see is that the FO just passed on Rendon for roughly the same price (although Rendon is scared to go north of the 10 FWY, and I get it), so while Arenado might be a little better, is he worth the same price tag and some top prospects?

    Here's the difference in offers:

Rockies get: C Keibert Ruiz (MLB's No. 33 prospect), RHP Josiah Gray (MLB's No. 75 prospect) and RHP Tony Gonsolin (Dodgers' No. 6 prospect)

Rockies get: OF Shin-Soo Choo, C Sam Huff (MLB’s No. 73 prospect), RHP Cole Winn (Rangers’ No. 4 prospect)

Rockies get: CF Ender Inciarte, RHP Kyle Wright (MLB’s No. 35 prospect) and C William Contreras (Braves’ No. 8 prospect)

Rockies get: CF Ender Inciarte, RHP Kyle Wright (MLB’s No. 35 prospect) and C William Contreras (Braves’ No. 8 prospect)

Rockies get: 3B Alec Bohm (MLB's No. 34 prospect), RHP Adonis Medina (Phillies' No. 4 prospect), OF Jay Bruce, RHP David Robertson

Rockies get: INF/OF Lourdes Gurriel Jr., C Danny Jansen, SS/3B Jordan Groshans (MLB’s No. 67 prospect)

Every other team is expected to give up lesser prospects and they give up salary dump players to even the books. Unless they are saying the Dodgers must overpay due to it being in division it doesn't make sense.

    Bastard.
    Now I can't back out.
Your one of my top backers.
Having my back from day one.
I never put business out in the open.
But it's obvious when I keep referencing the same dudes in posts over the years.
    It's kinda simple I guess.
You send me money and I will naturally be influenced by it.
You send me words of support and that will definitely make me like you.
You do both and you got me hook line and sinker. Forever. Like a heartworm in your dog.
And I won't be able to keep your name outta my thoughts and it will overflow outta my mouth.
So those who read my posts and who I constantly mention and who I like to argue with and who I like to quote and you will find my biggest backers.
And having a wide back gives you wings.
Excuse me while I walk the sky.

Rosenthal saying the Dodgers are one of the teams in on Donaldson still, but most of the league expects the Nats to pull it out. The Nats seem to be offering more years and more aav than most teams are comfortable doing for a player in his mid-30’s.

For a player in his mid 30s who missed a bunch of games the previous two seasons.

Granted he played (and played well) in 155 games this past season, but I'd still be wary of a long term deal with Donaldson.

Their top prospect is an IF'er that could play 3B, so it is interesting that they have so little faith in the kid when he is supposedly pretty close to being ready. I get the want to compete, but I don't fully understand the willingness to overpay to fill the position when you have that potentially on the way. Only thing I can think of is his number is said to be so high cause of more massive deferrals from the Nats.

Nightingale says we’ve had preliminary talks with Boston about Mookie. I’d love this so much more than Lindor. Also said they’ve put Corey on the table in talks with Boston and Cleveland.
