    BTW, how many games were you able to share with your family on TV this season? I think I caught 2. THATS PATHETIC AT BEST! This is not the team I grew up with with. Sans the unis, you can put lipstick on the pig all you want its not going to become miss universe. But hey....aside from paying half of MLB to play against them im sure they made a pretty penny.

    Truth is its pretty hard for me to watch any games of consequence w family or friends these days its just too much and i don't act right
    Thats what game threads are for and why they can't be judged for content imo
    Its like our own private misery and i do my best to share my good time and not my nightmare

    The Yankees made the WS in 1981 and 1996. Mattingly played with the Yankees from 1982-1995 and never made the WS. Joined the Yankees as a hitting coach in 2004 after they made the WS in 2003....Yankees proceeded to blow a 3-0 lead to Boston in the ALCS in one of the biggest chokes in baseball history. He left for us in 2007 with 0 WS appearances, and the Yankees then made the 09 WS and won it. The Mattingly curse is killing this franchise. Get rid of Mattingly and we'll be in the 2016 WS.

    Who are potential managers we'd go after?
    Cora interviewed for the Padres... Wouldn't mind giving him an interview as well.. Haven't heard much about him though but heard he's decent when managing for PUerto Rico

    This is mainly collettis team with a few freidman zhadis players sprinkled in.. like i said months back. I dont see this as an end to winning. But the beginning. Ill hold my judgement until i see 3 to 4 years down the line what kinf of team and franchise they built from the ground up. Keep your heads up guys. We lost to a very good young team. We should have won but we didnt. Time to tweek and retool..

    Yes, thank you. Too many people expect change to happen overnight. Nobody realizes that the Cubs, Mets, Royals and Jays took years to come together. This new FO is cleaning up the mess Colletti left them with bloated contracts for crappy players and a thin/top heavy farm system. The Cubs, Mets and Royals are showing how important a good farm to grow from is, or for the Blue Jays, a good farm to make trades from.

    Why not? The future is bright but that doesn't mean the FO won't screw it up. It's always been MY contention that we aren't going to be filling this team up with FA's in the future especially big ticket items (Cueto, Price). We are going to be relying on the farm for years to come so why not feel a little better after feeling so bitter. Cue the music from Annie. :D

    tired of the losing
    every year its the same thing... "hey we won the division... hey let's go home"
    and relying on the farm when our top two prospects went a combined 3-for-20/0 RBI's/9 K's in the LDS?...
    yeah, that doesn't inspire me that much
    i'm sure someone will counter with the "small sample size" and "playoffs are a crapshoot" rhetoric, but i don't care
    this team has continually underachieved under the same inept dullard manager every year
