Hopefully Mohr puts a ring on it soon, otherwise, Phil may be able to sneak back in

The only place the Clippers are headed is Inglewood.

Balmer has said repeatedly he is not moving the Clippers out of LA metro.

How funny if the Clippers move to the Forum and Jerry West is the GM and they bring in an ex Laker to coach.
We brought the son of a Celtic Clipper to coach. Turnabout is fair play.
Is Byron Scott going to be the next Clipper coach?
Or is this a job for Rambis?
No he is too tainted by Phil.
Maybe West wants to bring him back from the triangle.
    And run the Clipshow!

They'd be building a new facility. The Forum is a concert-only venue now.

But yes...would be quite the scenario.

Lakers Trade Rumors: Paul George open to long-term Cavaliers commitment with LeBron James

Hell-bent as he is on signing with the Lakers, George - according to a person with knowledge of his situation - is also the kind of prudent professional who won’t close a window of opportunity prematurely. So if the Cavs can convince Pritchard to either take on four-time All-Star forward Kevin Love or send him to a third team in exchange for more suitable assets, then George will play his heart out alongside LeBron James and remain open to the idea of re-signing next summer if James were also to return (or, perhaps, George could leave for Los Angeles with James at his side).

Ditto for the Celtics or the San Antonio Spurs, teams that could fulfill George’s desire for title contention and thus put themselves in the running. And should the Lakers come along and trade for him early to ensure he doesn’t fall in love with another team, then so be it. The person spoke with USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the situation.

George being increasingly willing to commit to another team obviously isn't ideal for the Lakers pursuit of him, but this also could be an effort of the Pacers and/or George's camp to convince Los Angeles to pony up just a little bit more to get George to his preferred destination.

Yes, the Lakers are taking a risk in not upping thier offer for George. He very well could get traded to a winning situation and find happiness, re-sign there and end the Lakers' pursuit of him.

But the grass is always greener on the other side, and if George spends the year with the almost surely lottery-bound Lakers he could sour on the team and leave anyway, which is exactly why the team can't get Dwight Howard-ed again here.

Put simply, the Lakers can't offer up much more here than what they've already thrown on the table without seriously mortgaging their future. The team might be able to toss Larry Nance, Jr. or Ivica Zubac in the deal, but if the Pacers start talking about Brandon Ingram or Lonzo Ball, the Lakers have to hang up.

Los Angeles can't win a bidding war for George without seriously gambling, and so the team may just have to wait, hope and cross their fingers that George's desire to play in LA scares teams off or overrides any good vibes he gets from whatever team he is traded to.

Zubac may be needed on the trade block..damn.

Honestly, I am kinda done with this PG13 stuff. IMO, offer the Pacers minimal in trade, if they bite, cool. If not, move on. The NBA does not rise and fall on PG13. Let the kids play this year and go the rout of the Baby Blazers.

3 team trades rarely if ever get done so that's out the window. To me the flaw in this scenario is that LeBron has been connected which is a fantasy I know to sign with the Lakers. If George is hell bent on coming here and LeBron MAY come why would he re-sign there? The elephant in the room is pretty obvious, it's Cleveland, who would want to live there???? Zubac is an untouchable!!!!

From their lips, they're very high on Zubac, but only Ingram is untouchable.
Make no mistake, I'd rather not trade Zubac, but I do see a scenario where they could do that and still be more than fine @ center going forward because they have Lopez and Cousins will be a FA next off-season.
Neither of them are particularly old, Cousins only 26

I agree, but every time I hear about Zubac in any trade scenario, I shutter and think about Marc Gasol......smh:(
