Yet another cautionary tale of signing free agents! You better be damn sure you are getting this shit right! It's pretty hilarious that the Sawk got fucked!!!! LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!! If this shit happened to us we'd get raked over the coals!

i don't care if they cheated or not
those 3 championships mean nothing to me (now)
saw a guy wearing a sf championship shirt and he saw me (as always) in my dodger lid
actually ended up being a cool guy (albeit delusional)
said he grew up in the gay area, hence his allegiance
but added that the rest of his family were all die hard dodger fans
also said that this dodger team was far better than any of those sf teams and that he expected us to win it all easily
don't know if i trust him, was probably saying all that so i wouldn't punch him in the face lol

That should be the beginning of the next documentary.
And it should end with the opposite mindset.
The start is how we got away from the Dodger way.
The end is how we came back full circle.
Since 88 we have been dealing away too many home grown talent and throwing money at stars instead of building the organization from the bottom up.
Now we keep them and keep them and we hold on to them like precious bills and only peel one off the roll when the stakes are high but we know the score.
The attempt to do this during the Kemp era backfired because it was done half assed with a lot of malcontent 'stars' with lots of talent but horrible attitudes.
Now we have the word many of the people here hate, a word that is 100% pure science, the purest science there is, the first science to ever be recognized as a faithful tool to measure our material reality with. Que Mystery?

Our team has the right alchemical balance and so their hormones and cytokines will be working towards the common goal of raising from the depths the monster created by Dr Frank and those that came before him.
All they needed was a little jolt of power to get them to stand to attention.

    Thanks Belly!
You are what makes the belly full of laughter.
    The answer to the mystery.
    The rhythm to the riddle.
    The rough stone finely hewed.
Then placed at the heart of the foundation.

It's not a tale without a final chapter, not a play without the third act, Rube.
If it all comes to fruition, then the tale is well weaved by you...but if it keeps on being a bridge too far, then it's all just a premise, a storyboard, a sketch...an idea we all have, which are a dime a dozen... but not a theorem.
    We need it to be.
    It's time.

A dime a dozen. Also known as the dead mans song.

You know what the most valuable monetarily?
    A dime.
You know what you need to survive each and every day?
    A dime.
You know what the richest men need the most?
    A dime.
You know what the poorest men need the most?
    A dime.
You know why the Lakers are revamping everything they are doing?
    A dime.
You know what is the difference between life and death?
    A dime.

A dime is the best of what you got.
It is taking your keeping it 100/taking your all and boiling it down in the crucible until it becomes a consolidated perfect 10.
It is taking a piece of your heart sending it down your sleeve and into the palm of your hand.
Just so you can spot the man who has missed all his shots. The open man.
And deliver a magical no look behind the back pin point assist so he can get himself a bucket of peaches so he can no longer be open like an empty receptacle. Now he's closed and clothed because he has what he needs.
    Thanks to your assistance.
Even if all you got to give is a pair of rusty nickles.
Either way you slice and dice its still a dime.
And its coming hot and fast.

Best to always keep your hands in the ready position.
Lest they break under the stress of the big ball coming your way.

A dime is fine, a quarter is murder though, and a half dollar is just asking for it up the middle.

Um, McCarthy's latest outing makes me really want the Dodgers to get a SP or strong middle relief.

An 8th inning guy is nice...but having someone get us there with a lead would be nice too.

Man, Britton is the type of dude you sell out some prospects for. Especially since the starting pitchers available aren't that great, getting Britton plus a lesser righty reliever and you shorten the game. Less scary to have McCarthy in game 4 when you only need him for 4 innings

Britton is also under team control for another year too. So he wouldn't be a rental.

Britton's mostly a name right now
I'll be more excited when he begins to pitch like he used to

He's pitched in 12 games this year, has 9 strike outs on the season, just returned from his 2nd lengthy stay on the DL
It's been far from a Britton-type of year
    Potential?
    Sure.
But it's not like he's rolling and dominating right now
