When he struggles it seems he is trying too hard to hit for power and pull the ball, causing him to roll over on top of the pitch. When he lets the pitch come to him and he drives it where it is thrown, he shows signs of being that great hitter he was for so much of his career. Him and Kemp hitting out the break could be huge for the teams stretch run.
I feel like there's not much praise in this thread so I'm here to lighten the mood. Adrian Gonzalez is the first Dodger to have back to back 100 rbi seasons since Gary Sheffield did it in 1999, 2000, and 2001.
As noted in the other thread, AGon is now a lock for the RBI Crown... not bad for a declining player.
Sat in the first row behind the Dodger dugout for my 12th birthday in hopes of getting Green's batting gloves. He didn't hit a HR but Lima tossed me a baseball.
Shawn Green was the man. My first favorite Dodger player along with Kevin Brown. Then Beltre decided to go off in '04. Smh, that guy should still be a Dodger. Fucken McCourt.
