The Angels are telling teams they’d rather trade Vernon Wells than keep him when he returns from the disabled list. They’re looking for a trade partner and saying they don’t want to eat all of his salary, Stark reports. It’ll be challenging to find a taker for Wells’ salary; he earns $21MM per season through 2014. Good luck with that Aholes.
Verlander has gone 6 innings in 60-something straight games great streak. but it's because he's in the AL if he gives up 4, 5 runs in the NL he would be taken out in the 5th or mid 6th, but AL pitchers always pitch a little more because there is no pitcher hitting i dont want to take anything away from him. such an amazing pitcher, im just saying
I still say Beltre should have been MVP. But that's me being a homer. I like to think the reason McCunt didn't pay him was because of that. Then I wake up and remember McCunt was a cunt.
Well, if you think about it, he wouldn't give up 4-5 runs in the NL because there's no DH. The NL gives the pitcher a pretty good escape route to avoid big innings....the opposing pitcher batting. Also, I don't think the offense is as good in the NL besides the DHs. The AL has dominated the FA market for years, they had all the money. Now it's begining to level off a bit with the recent increased payrolls of the Phillies, Marlins, Cubs, Reds, Brewers, and Dodgers...but then again, now Anahiem, Detroit, and Chicago is spending huge now also.
I think our series with the Cards might have unleashed them... They weren't doing terrible before that but were underachieving in terms of there roster, but now they just look like they'd score off anyone
What about Starling Marte going yard on the 1st pitch he saw!! Where are those prospects in our system??? I hope they are coming but damn hard to see kids like that coming up and having success albeit 1st game.
You have to consistently lose 90-100 games a year to have amazing prospects. Either that or you just get lucky.
Matt Kemp, Clayton Kershaw, Kenley Jansen, Josh Lindblom, Chad Billinsgley, Andre Ethier, Ronald Belisario.
