    I sent my wife to sleep, she wanted to stay up and watch with me and got a little miffed why I was all into sharing the Dodgers with her the other day but now I wanted her to leave me watching the game by myself.
    Last nights loss was not something I wanted to share with her a brand new watcher of baseball.

    She is so funny though, not knowing anything about this stuff her first big takeaway of the past two games that she has watched is that the umpire has been bought and paid for like how they do in soccer.
    And that Seager is very impatient. And that Altuve looks like a bad person.

    My wife never watched baseball before she met me, and still rarely does. Any time there's a change in score: "who hit a HR?".

    Teams used to actually score without hitting a homerun. She will never know. Rest in peace, baseball.

    Life is awesome, this shit is entertainment.
    Its supposed to rip out your asshole and serve to you for dinner like any good rollercoaster should.
    But it should be doing that to you in a way that does not interfere with your life.
    If it interferes with your life it is no longer entertainment but a vice/addiction like drugs.
    And you should seek professional help.

    I never let sports interfere with my personal life. That's why I post on DSP during games. I let out all the nasty thoughts I have in my head on a forum and don't allow people to ever see that side of me in my real life.

    DSP is very helpful.

    really thought i'd feel differently after a night's rest but i don't
    roberts is an imbecile and kershaw is a choker
    they're great for rah rah shit during the regular season
    but neither has what it takes when the postseason arrives

    EXACTLY, 2 of the the "greatest" games in WS history and we LOST both!!!!! If we had won just 1 it wouldn't sting so bad, I'm still not over last night don't think I'll ever be for a long long time.

    I woke up this morning to 3 different texts fucking saying that and have since had a phone call, another text and a tweet of the same ilk. I responded to none of the messages and only took the call thinking it was in regards to something else. Why the fuck do you think that gives me any fucking sollace? So my team was on the losing end of one of the greatest World Series games in history? That's great, no way will I ever have to live with seeing or hearing about that one for the years to come, I'm so fucking cool with that. It was a stupid game where the supposed greatest pitcher of a generation shit the bed again on the big stage and put us in a hole up against the hottest pitcher in baseball. Super awesome I got to watch that.

    like catching your gf banging some dude and someone says "yes she cheated on you, but you still have to admit it was really hot."
    there is no solace for losses like yesterday and game 2
    they're painful, gut-wrenching and difficultimpossible to get over
    i still haven't recovered from reggie jackson, tom neidenfurer, broxton, terry forster and many others
    and anyone who doesn't understand this is either a casual fan or a fucken idiot... or both
    passion goes both ways and if you're not pissed/depressed/dejected at times like this you're probably one of the above

    My dream is we come back to Dodger Stadium, win both games by scores of 3-1 and 4-0, people comment about how "boring" the final two games were, but we are WS champs and the rest of the world can fuck off.
